Department of Journalism, Madras Christian College. Started In The Year 2005, The Course In Journalism, Emphasis On The Principles Of Journalism - Namely - Print, Broadcast Media And New Media.

Madras Christian College introduced a course in Journalism in the year 2005. The under graduate course (B.A Journalism) is offered emphasizing on the fundamental principles of journalism for print, broadcast media and new media. The course enables to unravel the field of media and inculcate the ideals and morals of the journalism

The course provides specialization in the field of Print (Newspaper

and Magazine) and Broadcast (Television and Radio) media, Photography and Videography (Documentary filmmaking), Web Designing, Research, Development Communication, Public Relations and Advertising and Film Journalism. In order to meet the industry requirements, the course is revised at regular intervals with subject experts and journalists from various organizations, thereby creating more employment opportunities for the students. The course contains a combination of theory and practical papers in order to provide professionalism towards the field of journalism. Contestants put their media instincts to the test. From identifying channels to connecting clues, every round demanded quick thinking and sharp observation.

With each round, contestants moved forward, making it an engaging and fast-paced competition!
