Mr. Martin Sloot is the Former General Director and founder of the MSF India Branch Office. With an education background in communication and political science, for the last 18 years he has worked with MSF both in the field and in headquarters; eight of which have been spent in India. He has been Head of Mission in India, and in Côte d’Ivoire, as well as holding coordination, logistics, HR and advisory roles in projects across West Africa, Central Asia, South Asia, and South America.
Together with his wife, Priya Subramanian, he started in 2017, Hope Unlimited; a charitable trust in Chennai which supports young children from marginalised backgrounds in India in developing and realising their dreams and future goals. They also provide financial support to young children in the field of education and health, specifically heart surgery. Hope Unlimited also aims to celebrate diversity with the development of a Magazine for children.
