Greetings from the Public Relations Team of Forays, IIT Madras! Forays is the annual festival of the Department of Mathematics at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Established in 1992, Forays has served as an exclusive platform for math enthusiasts to come together and develop a strong mathematical culture among people of different ages and walks of life. Through our festival,
we educate our audience about the power of Mathematics which is at the core of every global process and inspire future Mathematicians. Spread out over 2 days, Forays is potpourri of Olympiads, Quizzes, and several other competitive events, designed to inculcate and sustain mathematical creativity, wisdom and genius. Our growing footfall of over a 600 and increasing influence among the academic and non-academic societies in and around Chennai is a testimony to this. We have also had some of the most prominent names in the field of Mathematics, such as Prof. Adimurthi A (TIFR, Centre For Applicable Mathematics, Bangalore), Prof. Viswanath (IMSc, Chennai), Prof. Swati Sircar (Azim Premji University, Bengaluru) and Prof. Jonaki Ghosh (Lady Sriram College, New Delhi) gracing our festival.
