Government College, Chhachhrauli (YNR) proudly announces that our college secured various positions in the 48th Zonal Youth Festival 2025-26, held on 16th, 17th & 18th October 2025 at S.N.S. College of Education for Women, Yamunanagar.

Our students participated in 18 events in total (08 Musical Events + 10 Fine Arts & Literary) and achieved the following positions:

🌟 Diwali Mela 2025 β€” A Sparkling Celebration of Joy and Enterprise! 🌟

The Diwali Mela 2025 held on 18th October 2025 at Government College Chhachhrauli illuminated the campus with festive cheer, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. ✨πŸͺ”

The event was organized under the joint collaboration of the EDC Club (Placement Cell) and the Women Cell, under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sunil Taneja.

We were honoured to have Dr. Sarvjeet Kaur, Principal, Government College Aharwala, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Ramesh Kumar, Vice Principal, Government College Bilaspur, as the Guest of Honour. 🌸

The mela featured around 30 vibrant stalls showcasing delicious food items, decorative products, and fun games, all managed by our talented students. 🍴🎯🎨
Over 150 students enthusiastically participated, displaying their creativity, teamwork, and business acumen.

Students who achieved the highest sales revenue were also awarded cash prizes for their outstanding performance. πŸ’°πŸ†

The AISHE unit, in collaboration with the Computer Science Department and Physics Department, successfully organized essay writing, slogan writing/poster making, and quiz competitions to celebrate World Statistical Day under the dynamic leadership of Principal Dr. Sunil Taneja. The Principal expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the students for their enthusiastic participation in the various events.

Sh. Ashok Bansal, the seniormost faculty member, congratulated the students on their achievements and encouraged them to continue developing their skills and applying statistical concepts to real-world problems. Dr. Neha Saini, Nodal Officer, AISHE, emphasized the importance of statistical knowledge and encouraged the students to apply it in practical scenarios.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Lakhwinder Singh, Head of the Computer Science Department. The success of the event was attributed to the tireless efforts of faculty members, including Dr. Shruti Bharadwaj, Dr. Sandeep (Physics Department), Dr. Dinesh, Dr. Bhawna Sharma, Dr. Mukul and Mr. Parveen, along with other faculty members of the Computer Science Department, who played a pivotal role in making this event a grand success.

*Inter-College Road Safety Quiz Competition – 15.10.2025*

We are pleased to share that our college, Government College, Chhachhrauli, successfully organized an *Inter-College Road Safety Quiz Competition* on 15th October 2025.

A special mention and congratulations to Guru Nanak Khalsa College, which had the highest participation with approximately 459 students. Our own college, Government College Chhachhrauli, closely followed with around 440 participants. We are proud to note that participation from both these colleges surpassed that of the other 12 participating colleges.

This event would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts and cooperation of our respected Principal Prof (Dr) Sunil Taneja, Road Safety Committee Members and faculty members, whose support played a vital role in the success of the competition.

We thank all the participating colleges, teachers, and students for making this initiative toward road safety awareness a grand success.

One day NSS camp was organised at Govt College Chachhrauli. For which I express my heartfelt gratitude to our Principal Prof (Dr) Sunil Taneja, he encouraged me by his words and his tremendous Laissez-faire leadership style. I express my heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Sanjeev Sharma ji, he gave me the opportunity to organise this camp as a Programme Officer, apart from this and the most important is our Ex-Programme Officer Mr. Rajbir ji, without his guidance it was impossible for me to organise this camp and Dr. Lalit ji, with whose help I was able to make this programme successful... Last but not the least all the committee members of NCC Cell. A guest lecture was successfully organized at Government College Chhachhrauli under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sanjeev Sharma. The event was conducted by the Placement Cell and Commerce Department and coordinated by its dedicated members Dr. Ruchika, Ms. Meenu, and Ms. Seema.

On this occasion, the resource person Mr. Vishwadeep Sharma from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) addressed the students. He delivered an insightful lecture on financial literacy, safe investment options, and the functioning of the capital market. He also highlighted the importance of financial awareness in today’s dynamic economic environment and its role in shaping students’ careers and lives.

Principal Dr. Sanjeev Sharma expressed his gratitude to the resource person and emphasized that such lectures not only provide valuable knowledge but also make students aware of career-oriented opportunities.

The lecture witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively interacted and raised thoughtful queries. With the sincere efforts of the Placement Cell, the program proved to be highly informative and inspiring.
