Prioritising Mental Health: A Workshop for Young Doctors

AIMSR, Chittoor, recently conducted a workshop on “Mental Health Awareness for Postgraduate Residents”, focusing on an increasingly important aspect of medical education—the well-being of young doctors.

The workshop explored key areas including stress management, burnout prevention, emotional regulation, coping strategies, workload management, resilience, and recovery strategies.
Interactive and practical sessions helped residents reflect on their own well-being and develop tools that can be integrated into their daily lives.

The programme also highlighted the importance of creating a culture where seeking support is encouraged and mental health is valued as an essential component of professional well-being.

A heartfelt appreciation to all the faculty and resource persons who contributed their expertise, and to the postgraduate residents for their active participation and openness throughout the programme.

Advancing Point-of-Care Ultrasound Education at AIMSR, Chittoor

We are pleased to share the successful completion of a Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) CME Workshop conducted at AIMSR, Chittoor, aimed at strengthening the use of bedside ultrasound in clinical decision-making.

The workshop brought together clinicians and faculty from multiple specialties, with engaging sessions covering airway ultrasound, lung ultrasound, cardiac ultrasound, E-FAST, vascular ultrasound, and focused applications of POCUS in emergency and critical care settings.

A special highlight was the hands-on training, enabling participants to develop practical skills in point-of-care ultrasound and integrate this powerful tool into everyday clinical practice.

We are grateful to all the distinguished faculty, resource persons, organizers, and participants whose enthusiasm and expertise contributed to the success of the workshop.

POCUS is more than imaging—it is clinical decision-making at the bedside.
Continuing to build competency in this evolving field is an important step towards faster, safer, and more effective patient care.

We are delighted to share the successful completion of MED ED SYNERGY 2026, in 18th and 19th of August 2026, a CME dedicated to exploring contemporary approaches, innovations and emerging perspectives in Health professions education.

Organized by AIMSR, Chittoor, the programme brought together passionate educators and healthcare professionals for a day of meaningful academic engagement, insightful discussions and shared learning.

From CBME to interprofessional education, innovative teaching-learning strategies, assessment, faculty development and the evolving role of educators, the sessions offered valuable perspectives that can translate into better learning experiences for our future healthcare professionals.

A meaningful day at AIMSR, Chittoor dedicated to creating awareness about the importance of organ and body donation.

The Organ & Body Donation Awareness Rally 2026, organized by the Department of Anatomy, AIMSR ,Chittoor, Apollo Knowledge City, was held on 13 August 2026 in observance of World Organ Donation Day.

The event was inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Sumit Kumar,District Collector, Dr. Nitin. M. Nagarkar, Vice Chancellor of The Apollo University,Dr. Alfred. J. Augustine,Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean, distinguished guests, faculty members, and students, marking an important step towards encouraging conversations around organ and body donation and the noble act of giving life beyond life.

The students also presented a mime performance, creatively conveying the significance of organ donation and inspiring everyone to reflect on how one selfless decision can make a lasting difference in the lives of others.

We are pleased to share the successful completion of the competitions held as part of the Organ Donation Awareness Programme, organized by Department of Anatomy, AIMSR, Chittoor in collaboration with The Apollo University, Chittoor, and Apollo College of Nursing.

As part of the World Organ Donation Day observance, students participated in a series of creative contests, poster presentations, photography and slogan-making activities aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of organ donation and inspiring the community to make a meaningful difference.

The event brought together students, faculty members, and healthcare professionals, providing a platform for young minds to express their creativity while highlighting a cause that can give the gift of life to those in need.

We extend our appreciation to all the participants, faculty coordinators, and organizers for their enthusiastic involvement and commitment to this noble cause.

We successfully concluded the 3rd Session of the Faculty Leadership Workshop on 25th July 2026 at the Dr. PCRKC Auditorium, AKC, bringing together our faculty members for a day of learning, reflection, and academic leadership.

We were privileged to have Prof. Ravi Mahajan and Dr. Jugnu Mahajan lead the concluding session, sharing valuable insights on leadership, professional growth, and excellence in medical education. Their expertise and engaging interactions made the workshop a truly enriching experience.

AIMSR, Chittoor, successfully organized a one-day workshop on "AI Tools for Medical Research", bringing together faculty members, researchers, postgraduate students, and healthcare professionals to explore the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in biomedical research.

The workshop featured expert-led sessions on AI-assisted literature search, research writing, data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation, ethical considerations in AI, plagiarism detection, and responsible use of AI in scientific publishing. Interactive hands-on demonstrations enabled participants to gain practical experience with leading AI-powered research tools.

We sincerely thank our esteemed resource persons, Dr. Animesh Jain and Dr. Asha B, for sharing their expertise and providing valuable insights that inspired participants to embrace AI responsibly in their research journey.
