The Medical Education Unit (MEU) successfully conducted a Faculty Development Workshop on "The Art of Storytelling in Health Professional Education" on 3rd June 2026 at Dr. PCRKC Auditorium, AKC.

The workshop was an enriching and highly interactive learning experience, highlighting the power of storytelling as an effective teaching strategy in health professions education.
The sessions were exceptionally well-structured, engaging, and thought-provoking, providing faculty members with practical insights into creating meaningful learning experiences for students.

The session featured academic presentations from the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Physiology.
The Department of OBGYN presented a "Case Series on Eclampsia", while the Department of Physiology delivered an engaging presentation on “Gut-Brain Signaling in Health and Disease: An Integrative Physiological Perspective.”

The workshop served as an enriching academic platform for our postgraduate students, focusing on strengthening research fundamentals and fostering scientific inquiry in medical education.

We were deeply honored by the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, Vice Chancellor, Apollo University, who emphasized the importance of scientific thinking, academic rigor, and quality research in advancing healthcare.
We were also privileged to have Dr. Nitin Nagarkar, Vice Chancellor Designate, whose insightful address highlighted the growing significance of research culture in multidisciplinary medical institutions.
