Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences ( Karunya University) has been granted Deemed to be University since 2004. Once every 5 years, the UGC conducts an inspection. The Inspection is being carried out this week by the UGC as a routine exercise to monitor the functioning as per the standards in due time.
Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences has been reviewed twice before by UGC and has the NAAC accreditation and NIRF ( 61 rank - within first 100 ranks) too.
This statement is to clarify any misleading report circulated in this regard.
