Dear ACE Member,

Amrita Centre for Entrepreneurship (ACE) coordinated the thingQbator Cohort-8 mentoring session on 21st November 2025 at Saraswathi Hall, located near the thingQbator Lab in Academic Block-2. Most of the Cohort-8 teams participated, presented their project progress, and received valuable inputs from NASSCOM Foundation’s technical mentors, Ms. Shreya Shekhar and Mr. Piyush Dhall. Students from KalaignarKarunanidhi Institute of Technology also joined the session and benefitted from the mentoring interactions.

The session was smoothly and professionally coordinated by the ACE team—Mr. R. Krishnan and Mr. D. Sakthivel—along with Dr. S. Balamurugan, Chairperson, EEE Department and Dr. R. Anand, Assistant Professor, Dept. of. EEE. The event concluded successfully with active engagement from all participants.

The Amrita Centre for Entrepreneurship (ACE) Club held its Induction Programme celebrating innovation, creativity, and the spirit of startups.

The event was graced by Br. Vishwanathamrita Chaitanya, Director – CIR, who inspired the audience with his keynote on innovation and entrepreneurship. The ceremony also honoured national-level MSME Idea Hackathon 3.0 winners – Ms. Vrindha Venugopal, Ms. Lakshmi Devi A, and Ms. Nitu Joseph – each receiving ₹15 lakhs for their innovative ideas, and thingQbator Cohort-7 Startup track winners - Mr. M. Phani Nithin and Mr. Shravan A P, final year B.Tech students and co-founders of Riverant Technologies, who bagged a ₹5 lakh national seed fund from Nasscom Foundation and Cisco. Dr. Uma Maheswari, CEO – AIC-ACE, motivated students to embrace startup culture, while the ACE team, led by Mr. R. Krishnan and Mr. D. Sakthivel, showcased the club’s remarkable journey from small beginnings to securing ₹2 crores in national funding from DST and MSME.

ACE-Amrita's DST-funded 6-week Technology-Based Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP) focused on Electric Vehicles, rescheduled from 12th February to 26th March 2025, 9:45 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday to Saturday)

The 6-week Free Offline (face-to-face) Technology-Based Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP), focused on Electric Vehicles (EVs) is now scheduled from 12th February to 26th March 2025. Sessions will be held on all days of the week, except Sundays, from 9:45 AM to 4:30 PM. This TEDP is sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and organized by Amrita Centre for Entrepreneurship (ACE), Corporate & Industry Relations (CIR), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, at the University campus.

We are pleased to inform you that Amrita Centre for Entrepreneurship (ACE), Corporate & Industry Relations (CIR), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, is conducting a 2-week, Free, Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Entrepreneurship, from 20th January to 1st February 2025. The FDP is sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.

The details of the FDP are as follows:-
Dates (Duration): 20 Jan - 1 Feb 2025 (2 weeks)
Session Timings: 9:45 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Saturday (4 sessions per day)
Eligibility: Faculty in Science or Engineering from universities/ colleges/ polytechnics/B-schools and ED cells-in-charge/ IIC faculty members interested in mentoring entrepreneurs / startups
Benefit: Certificate + Competence to mentor students in becoming entrepreneurs
Participants: Limited to 25 people (Not more than 2 from 1 institution).
Selection Criteria: First-come-first-served-basis
Accommodation: Hostel available for outstation candidates only
Fee: Free of cost (inclusive of industry visit, food and accommodation). No TA/DA will be provided. However, a refundable caution deposit of Rs. 1000/- in cash, needs to be paid while confirming the participation.
Attendance: Mandatory presence on all 12 days for getting certificate

We are delighted to share the details of the MSME Idea Hackathon 4.0, launched by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt. of India, targeted towards all young innovators in the age group of 18-35 years (students/ MSMEs /others). We encourage you to kindly participate (if eligible), or otherwise motivate other innovators to grab this opportunity to develop an innovative idea into a prototype/ product by participating and winning Rs. 15 lakhs!

There are 4 broad sectoral themes, under which one may present one's ideas -

'Ready to move in' co-worker space for startups available at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's Coimbatore campus under the Host Institute / Business Incubator scheme of MSME.
Also, Amrita will soon launch an Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) at the Coimbatore campus, under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, Government of India. The upcoming incubation centre, known as AIC-ACE, spanning 14000 sq. ft. will have labs focused on (i) Transport: EV, connected cars
