Retail Capsule | Two-Day Workshop 🛍️✨

The Department of Apparel and Fashion Design, PSG College of Technology, organised a two-day workshop on “Retail Capsule” led by Mr. Sash Padayachee, MD, Taleo Retail Advisory.

The workshop provided our III & V M.Sc. FDM students with valuable insights into retail strategy, consumer behaviour, merchandising, and the evolving retail landscape, bridging classroom learning with industry perspectives.

A meaningful opportunity to learn, explore and gain a deeper understanding of the world of retail.

THREADS MEET ART. 🧵🎨

For Handloom Day 2026, our students explored handloom fabrics beyond their traditional form turning woven surfaces into canvases for creativity.

With every brushstroke meeting the texture of the fabric, the event brought together craftsmanship, colour, and imagination in one frame.

A celebration of handloom, seen through the creative lens of AFD. 🤍

Revisiting Onam’26, tradition, creativity & a little AFD magic. 🌼✨

The department came alive in the timeless elegance of Kerala’s traditional kasavu attire, while our pookalam competition brought colour, creativity, and a little friendly competition to the day. 🤍💛

From intricate floral designs to rows of kasavu looks, Onam ’26 creative event was all about bringing tradition and creativity together, the AFD way.

A little glimpse of the colours, craft and festive vibes that made the day special. 🌸
