Celebrating NSS Day 2026 at PSGR Krishnammal College for Women

Every year, our NSS volunteers remind us that true leadership begins with service. This NSS Day, we honour the spirit of "Not Me But You" — a philosophy that has shaped generations of compassionate, socially responsible women at PSGRKCW.

Our National Service Scheme continues to champion five key areas: Environmental Sustainability, Community Development, Education for All, Health & Well-being, and Social Responsibility — because building a better tomorrow starts with serving today.

“She once looked at an NCC uniform with admiration. Today, she wears it with the pride of having made it to AITSC.”

For Sgt. J Amirthavarshini of II BBA, her NCC journey began with admiration for the discipline, confidence, and smart uniform of NCC cadets. Inspired by their dedication, she joined NCC and soon developed a keen interest in the Thal Sainik Camp (TSC), especially JDFS. Her journey began with the Battalion Selection, where despite her uncertainty, she took her first step towards the camps ahead, eventually making her way to AITSC 2026, New Delhi.

The journey was marked by nine camps, rigorous preparation, sleepless nights, and moments of self-doubt. Her first camp brought a changed syllabus and an entirely new experience, challenging her to adapt and work harder. With every selection, her confidence grew stronger, until her consistent effort finally earned her a place at AITSC 2026—a milestone that turned months of uncertainty and hard work into a moment of immense pride.

She thanks the KCW Management, NCC Officer Major Dr Kavitha.NV, BBA Dept, Family, Seniors, Co- Cadets and Friends for their constant support, motivation, and guidance throughout the journey. Her message to her fellow students is simple : “Never doubt yourself. Be confident, stay consistent, keep motivating yourself, and never give up. With the willingness to keep going, anyone can achieve their goals.”
