First Research Scholars’ Seminar Organized at Lucknow Satellite Campus of MANUU

The First Research Scholars’ Seminar at MANUU Satellite Campus, Lucknow, marked a significant step toward strengthening a culture of academic excellence and interdisciplinary research on campus. Held on 2nd April 2026, the one-day seminar brought together research scholars and faculty members from various departments, creating a vibrant platform for intellectual exchange and scholarly engagement.
The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Sauban Sayeed, Head of the Department of Urdu at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University in the inaugural session. In his insightful address, he emphasized the growing importance of interdisciplinary research in the present time. He highlighted that research must not only be conducted with clarity of purpose but also shared widely so that it benefits society. He also spoke about research ethics, cautioning scholars against plagiarism, including the misuse of AI tools, and stressed the importance of proper referencing and credibility in academic work.
The session was presided over by Prof. Gulfishan Habib, Dean, School of Languages, Linguistics and Indology, MANUU Hyderabad, whose presence added great academic value to the event. Prof. Huma Yaqoob, Campus In-charge, delivered the welcome address and expressed her happiness over organizing the first seminar of its kind at the campus. She underlined that the research output of scholars plays a key role in shaping the identity and academic standing of the institution.
The seminar featured three technical sessions in which a total of 18 research papers were presented by scholars from the Departments of Urdu, English, Persian, and Arabic. The English session engaged with themes such as postcolonial studies and digital culture, while the Persian and Arabic sessions explored areas like mystical literature, travel writing, and historical texts. The Urdu session offered rich discussions on classical poetry as well as contemporary socio-cultural issues.
The sessions were chaired by distinguished faculty members including Prof. Huma Yaqub, Dr. Nikhat Fatima, Dr. Sumama Faisal, Dr. Mujahidul Islam, and Dr. Noor Fatima. The smooth conduct of the sessions was ensured by dedicated coordinators and moderators, reflecting strong academic coordination and teamwork.
In the concluding session, certificates were distributed to participating research scholars by Dr. Shah Mohammad Fayez (Coordinator of the Seminar) and Dr. Omair Manzar (Convenor of the Seminar). The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, students, and invited guests, reflecting the campus’s growing commitment to research and innovation.
This inaugural seminar has laid a strong foundation for future academic initiatives and marks the beginning of a promising tradition of scholarly dialogue, collaboration, and interdisciplinary exploration at MANUU Lucknow Campus.

मानू लखनऊ सैटेलाइट कैंपस में पहला रिसर्च स्कॉलर्स सेमिनार
मानू लखनऊ सैटेलाइट कैंपस में आयोजित पहला रिसर्च स्कॉलर्स सेमिनार शैक्षणिक उत्कृष्टता और अंतर-विषयी (इंटरडिसिप्लिनरी) शोध को बढ़ावा देने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम साबित हुआ। 2 अप्रैल 2026 को आयोजित इस एक दिवसीय सेमिनार में विभिन्न विभागों के रिसर्च स्कॉलर्स और शिक्षकों ने भाग लिया, जिससे विचारों के आदान-प्रदान और अकादमिक चर्चा के लिए एक अच्छा मंच मिला।
सेमिनार की शुरुआत सुबह 10:30 बजे उद्घाटन सत्र से हुई। मुख्य वक्तव्य प्रो. सौबान सईद, अध्यक्ष, उर्दू विभाग, ख्वाजा मोइनुद्दीन चिश्ती लैंग्वेज यूनिवर्सिटी ने दिया। अपने संबोधन में उन्होंने आज के समय में अंतर-विषयी शोध की बढ़ती जरूरत पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि शोध स्पष्ट उद्देश्य के साथ होना चाहिए और इसे लोगों तक पहुंचाना भी जरूरी है, ताकि समाज को इसका लाभ मिल सके। उन्होंने शोध की नैतिकता पर भी बात की और विशेष रूप से एआई के गलत उपयोग और नकल (प्लेजरिज्म) से बचने की सलाह दी। उन्होंने सही संदर्भ और स्रोत देने के महत्व को भी समझाया।
इस सत्र की अध्यक्षता प्रो. गुलफिशां हबीब, डीन, स्कूल ऑफ लैंग्वेजेज, लिंग्विस्टिक्स एंड इंडोलॉजी, मानू हैदराबाद ने की। उनकी उपस्थिति से कार्यक्रम की गरिमा बढ़ी। कैंपस इंचार्ज प्रो. हुमा याकूब ने स्वागत भाषण दिया और इस तरह के पहले सेमिनार के आयोजन पर खुशी व्यक्त की। उन्होंने कहा कि रिसर्च स्कॉलर्स का शोध किसी भी संस्थान की पहचान बनाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है।
सेमिनार में तीन तकनीकी सत्र आयोजित किए गए, जिनमें कुल 18 शोध पत्र प्रस्तुत किए गए। ये शोध पत्र उर्दू, अंग्रेजी, फारसी और अरबी विभागों के स्कॉलर्स ने प्रस्तुत किए। अंग्रेजी सत्र में पोस्ट-कोलोनियल और डिजिटल विषयों पर चर्चा हुई, जबकि फारसी और अरबी सत्र में सूफी साहित्य, यात्रा-वृत्तांत और ऐतिहासिक ग्रंथों पर बात की गई। उर्दू सत्र में पारंपरिक कविता और आधुनिक सामाजिक-सांस्कृतिक विषयों पर महत्वपूर्ण चर्चा हुई।
इन सत्रों की अध्यक्षता प्रो. हुमा याकूब, डॉ. निकहत फातिमा, डॉ. सुमामा फैसल, डॉ. मुजाहिदुल इस्लाम और डॉ. नूर फातिमा ने की। कार्यक्रम के सफल संचालन में समन्वयकों और संचालकों का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान रहा, जिससे बेहतर तालमेल देखने को मिला।
समापन सत्र में सभी प्रतिभागी रिसर्च स्कॉलर्स को डॉ. शाह मोहम्मद फ़ाएज़ (समन्वयक) और डॉ. उमैर मंज़र (कन्वीनर) द्वारा प्रमाण पत्र प्रदान किए गए। इस सेमिनार में शिक्षकों, छात्रों और आमंत्रित अतिथियों की उत्साहपूर्ण भागीदारी रही, जो कैंपस में शोध और नवाचार के बढ़ते माहौल को दर्शाती है।
