The college was established in the year 1983 as Kusum Devi Satsang Women's College, Darakhapatna in the district of cuttack recognised by the Govt. It is a disciplined college in cuttack sadar which has been functioning to achieve meticulously its goal.

The college has streams like Arts and and 256 students strength. The affiliated optional subjects in Arts are Political Science, History, Economics, Odia, Sanskrit, Education, home science, logic, psychology & sociology As per the Govt. instruction the teaching of Yoga and Environmental Education has been introduced for all the students in order to develop physical, Mental and Social character.
