On this auspicious 137th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan one of the greatest Indian Philosopher, Statesman, educator, and 2nd President of India we convey our best wishes and obeisance to the legend.

New Hostel conveys its heartfelt congratulations to Shri Lal Prasad Soren (27 Years Old) a noted ex-boarder of our hostel for being selected to the Indian National Blind Cricket Team. Shri Soren have brought numerous accolades to the country and Odisha State. Being a rising player of Odisha Blind Cricket Team, he has won Bronze Medal in the 21st National Para-athletics Championship 2023 in Men's T-12 100mtrs race Category.

Hailing from Mayurbhanj District of Odisha he was a key player of Odisha Blind Cricket Team in winning the Nagesh Trophy 2023-24 National T20 Cricket Tournament for Blind. He was one of the best players of Ravenshaw Blind Cricket Team and the team has earned many awards under his leadership.

Shri Soren has been awarded with numerous prestigious awards till date. His innovative approach to blind cricket sport truly set him apart. He has been recognised by multiple institutions of high repute for his amazing talent and efforts.

His dedication and hard work have truly paid off as he is currently playing the 2nd Edition SAMARTH Bilateral Series 2025 against South Africa as a part of Indian National Blind Cricket Team. It's indeed a matter of proud for our University and State. Wishing him a continued success and looking forward to his future accomplishments.
