The EIACP Centre at the Wildlife Institute of India released a special awareness poster on the occasion of World Migratory Bird Day 2026.

Millions of migratory birds travel thousands of kilometres every year across oceans, forests, wetlands, and cities. Their survival depends greatly on healthy ecosystems and informed conservation efforts.

The poster emphasizes the importance of citizen science, where every photograph, checklist, bird count, and observation by people helps scientists better understand migration patterns, habitat loss, and threats faced by migratory birds.

Let us contribute towards protecting migratory birds and preserving biodiversity for future generations.

Leopards are among the most adaptable big cats and play a vital role in maintaining ecosystem balance as apex predators and keystone species. The posters also showcased fascinating facts about leopard subspecies, their unique rosette patterns, habitat adaptability, and remarkable hunting abilities.

Through this initiative, the EIACP Centre aims to spread awareness about wildlife conservation and encourage people to coexist responsibly with nature while supporting the vision of Mission LiFE for environmental sustainability.

On , a poster highlighting the importance of bear conservation in India was released in the presence of distinguished officials.
Bears play a vital role in maintaining forest ecosystems — as seed dispersers and indicators of habitat health. Protecting them means safeguarding biodiversity.

The Sloth Bear, unlike many other bears, does not hibernate and remains active throughout the year. Many conflict situations arise from sudden encounters in shared landscapes, making awareness and preparedness key to coexistence.
Let’s move beyond myths and work towards informed, community-driven conservation.
