Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), through the Centre for Sustainable Ecology & Biodiversity Research (CSEBR), proudly commemorates World Bee Day 2026 under the theme “Bee together for people and the planet – A partnership that sustains us all.”

Organized by the Centre for Sustainable Ecology & Biodiversity Research (CSEBR), Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with the EIACP Centre, Wildlife Institute of India and Uttarakhand Biodiversity Board, the event aims to highlight the crucial role of bees and pollinators in sustaining biodiversity, ecological balance, food security, and environmental well-being.

Coordinated by Dr. V. P. Uniyal, Dr. Manu Pant, Dr. Amar Dabral, and Dr. Vandana Mehrwar, the programme will bring together experts, academicians, researchers, and students to promote awareness and dialogue on pollinator conservation and sustainable environmental practices.

The Department of Hospitality Management, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) proudly participated in an enriching culinary session hosted at Graphic Era Hill University with renowned Chef Bhupi, originally from Uttarakhand and currently based in Jaipur. Widely recognized for promoting regional cuisine and culinary storytelling through digital platforms, Chef Bhupi inspired students with his journey and shared valuable insights on the importance of consistency, dedication, and a positive mindset in the hospitality industry.

The session featured a live culinary demonstration where Chef Bhupi prepared an authentic 3-course Pahadi menu, beautifully highlighting the richness of indigenous flavors and locally sourced ingredients. Students from the Department of Hospitality Management, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) also showcased their culinary expertise through a specially curated Himalayan Food Festival presenting traditional Uttarakhandi cuisine, which received immense appreciation from guests and dignitaries.

Such collaborative academic and industry-oriented initiatives reflect the university’s commitment to preserving regional culinary heritage, promoting sustainable food practices, and providing students with valuable experiential learning opportunities through interactions with leading hospitality professionals.

BIOCOM 2026 at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) continued with engaging Day 2 technical sessions on computational biology, AI, sustainability, food systems, and biological sciences, where researchers and academicians from across the globe presented innovative research and ideas.

Day 3 was graced by the esteemed presence of 𝐒𝐦𝐭. 𝐑𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐢 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐥, 𝐈𝐀𝐒, Additional Secretary, Department of Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Government of Uttarakhand, She emphasized the importance of preserving and propagating indigenous knowledge through such platforms. She also appreciated the efforts of the organizers and encouraged continued interdisciplinary research and sustainable innovations.

The day also featured the Art of Living experiential session by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. (𝐃𝐫.) 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 and 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. (𝐃𝐫.)
