*'Industrial Visit to Subir Raha Oil Museum, ONGC *

On 24th September 2025, the Department of Petroleum and Energy Studies in collaboration with DITU SPE Student Chapter organized a captivating Industrial Visit to the Subir Raha Oil Museum at ONGC. This visit provided students with a unique opportunity to explore the rich heritage and cutting-edge advancements in the oil and gas industry.

During the visit, students witnessed:

Interactive exhibits showcasing the evolution of energy technologies.

Live demonstrations of modern extraction and energy processes.

In-depth insights into the role of innovation and sustainability in the future of the energy sector.

On 11th September 2025, as part of Engineers’ Day celebrations, the Department of Petroleum and Energy Studies, DIT University, in collaboration with SPE DITU Student Chapter, successfully organized the Petro Model Expo.

The event showcased the dedication, creativity, and technical expertise of students, who presented innovative models and concepts to peers, faculty members from various departments and as well as from industrial expert from CSIR-IIP, Dehradun. It not only reflected the hard work and talent of the participants but also encouraged knowledge sharing, interdisciplinary learning, and professional growth.

Exciting Start to the Academic Year! 🎓✨

On 20th August 2025, we successfully conducted the Orientation & Membership Drive Session for our new members of the SPE DITU Student Chapter.

Our President – Mr. Aditya Kumar, delivered an insightful session introducing the fascinating world of Petroleum Engineering, highlighting its importance and future prospects.

Following this, our Vice President – Mr. Shivansh Dobhal, provided a detailed overview of SPE International, its mission, global network, and the endless opportunities it offers to students and professionals alike.

The session was a great platform for students to understand the scope of petroleum engineering and how being part of SPE can shape their careers. 🌍🔍

*Skill Enhancement through Hands-on Training*!
We are thrilled to announce that The Department of Petroleum & Energy Studies, in collaboration with the Career Development Cell (CDC), is organising a Hands-on Training Program on AutoCAD Software for 30 hours from 22nd august to 5th September under the aegis of the DIT SPE Student Chapter.
This initiative was designed to provide our students with practical exposure to design and drafting drilling tools, rig equipment etc. enhancing their technical competence and industry readiness.
Such training sessions not only bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications but also empower students to explore innovative design solutions in the energy and petroleum sector.
