The Department of French and Francophone Studies, Panjab University, in collaboration with the Department of French and Francophone Studies, Doon University, cordially invites you to an online lecture on "L’espace littéraire de la Belgique” by Prof Pierre Geron from Université de Liège, Belgium, on Monday, 6th October 2025 at 16:00 (IST) / 12:30 (CET) via Google Meet.

About the lecture:
The lecture will present the diversity of Belgian literature from a historical perspective, looking at how it has developed over time and highlighting important literary movements. It will focus on Francophone literature as well as Flemish traditions, showing how both French- and Dutch-speaking writers have contributed to shaping a unique Belgian identity.

🇧🇪✨ Fête de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles / Témoignages Étudiants ✨🇧🇪

As part of the early celebrations for "Fête de la Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles", we organised a special "Témoignages Étudiants" session on Thursday, 25th September.
🎓 Rish*ta and Suheb, MA 2 students, shared their wonderful experience attending a summer programme under Wallonie-Bruxelles International scholarship at ISLV - Institut Supérieur des Langues Vivantes, ULiège Université de Liège in Belgium. They spoke about the value of such training programmes, linguistic and cultural immersion and the importance of intercultural exchange. They even shared some fun Belgicismes they picked up during their stay. The session ended with a fun and interactive quiz. 🥳🇧🇪

Our BA 2nd year students had a memorable visit to an educational centre for less privileged children, run by the French charitable association "Inde et Vous" and the "Mitram Welfare Society". They interacted with the wonderful children on various topics, including the importance of education, learning languages (especially French), the value of sports, hygiene, and extracurricular activities. This visit was part of their class project.

Aditya Nath, a second year MA student, has been selected as an exchange student for the winter semester at ISLV - Institut Supérieur des Langues Vivantes, ULiège, Université de Liège, Belgium. 🇧🇪 Additionally, he has been awarded the prestigious Erasmus+ Mobility scholarship. Aditya looks forward to enriching his academic experience, discovering new cultures and immersing himself in the dynamic francophone atmosphere of Cité ardente.

Our students Aditi Kamboj, Love Bhatia, and Vikas Singh have returned from their summer teachers' training programme at ISLV - Institut Supérieur des Langues Vivantes, ULiège, Université de Liège, Belgium, thanks to the Wallonie-Bruxelles International scholarship. Our former student, Deepika Rawat has also come back after finishing her Service Civique - France Volontaires programme in Besançon, France. They recently gave interesting presentations on their experiences in Belgium and France and shared valuable insights with other students. 🇧🇪 🇫🇷 🇮🇳
