From concept to creation—building the future with IoT
The School of Engineering & Computing, DBUU successfully organized a power-packed seminar on Industry-Grade IoT Product Development & Entrepreneurship.
Led by industry expert Deepak Koranga, the session provided students with deep insights into transforming ideas into deployable, real-world IoT products. Participants explored the complete product lifecycle—from ideation and prototyping to testing, deployment, and commercialization—gaining clarity on what truly differentiates a prototype from an industry-ready solution.
The seminar emphasized hands-on understanding of embedded systems, sensors, communication technologies, and cloud-based IoT platforms, while also introducing key aspects like system design, cybersecurity, quality control, and maintenance. Students engaged in collaborative, real-world simulations, experiencing cross-functional decision-making and systems thinking across domains such as smart homes, healthcare, agriculture, and automation.
Beyond technical learning, the session fostered an entrepreneurial mindset by highlighting startup opportunities, business planning, and industry expectations—bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical application.
An insightful and future-focused session that empowered students to innovate, build, and lead in the evolving IoT ecosystem.
