This study attempted to understand street harassment as experienced by young women in many states across the county and in the world. Interactive session was conducted with more than 70 girls between the ages of 18 to 22 years to understand the nature of harassment they faced, its perceived consequences, their ways of coping with it, and the changes they felt were needed for them to feel safer. Findings revealed that harassment occurred most often in crowded spots and in broad daylight. High levels of harassment were attributed to factors like prevalent attitudes toward women and weak implementation of laws.

Women Development Cell of Aditi Mahavidyalaya took the initiative of confronting the challenges faced by women and adolescent girls of rural areas in their menstrual cycle.
The environment they are brought up in upholds them to stay silent, feel shameful, and punished on this matter.
We were surprised to know that some women out there were aware on how pads are better than cloth.
We would like to bestow our thanks tofoundation who collaborated with us and helped us distribute cloth pads which are hygienic and safe for the environment. We also shared Some basic knowledge on the different types of menstrual products and how to deal with menstrual cramps.

Women Development Cell on World Cancer Day organises a webinar on the

Topic: Cancer, a Growing Concern.
Date: 4th February, 2022

Cancer as a growing issue in the world needs to be addressed.
Therefore, on World Cancer Day we, the people from Women
Development Cell of Aditi
Mahavidyalaya, University of Delhi, have organized a webinar focusing on cancer and the rapid increase of this devastating disease. Among men, the projected occurance of canver was 94.1%/ 1lakh individuals and as for women, it was 103.6/1lakh individuals, data showed in 2020 survey. Through this webinar we wish learn and also
enrich the participants of the implications and the result of cancer in lives. Not only does it severely affect the lifestyle of the people. but affect the lifestyle of the people, but leaves a mark of it's effects. While it
has manifested into a largely talked issue, this webinar would be an interactive session of learning and understanding cancer through its various folds and gaining awareness for the same.

The speaker for our webinar:

Ms. Shruti Sethi, a functional nutritionist, health coach and also the founder of Awaana Health.
With her vast knowledge in this arena, she will enrich and aware us about the topic for the day.
