🌿 Expert Talk | Careers in Sustainability: Outlook 2026–2035
The Department of Environment Science & Engineering, Delhi Technological University is delighted to share the highlights of an enriching expert talk session held on 14th May 2026.
We had the privilege of hosting Mr. Pranav Sinha — CEO & Founder, ESGPace, and a practitioner with 23+ years of international experience across 17 countries and across various domains such as Risk Management, Systems, Strategy, Implementation, and Reporting in sectors spanning Automotive, Pharma, FMCG, Chemicals, Metals, F&B, and BFSI.
Mr. Sinha is a leading ESG and sustainability expert with over 23 years of international experience across 17 countries. He has advised more than 250 multinational and Fortune 500 companies.
The session brought together students, researchers, and faculty for a forward looking conversation on what the next decade holds for sustainability professionals.

🔹 The 6th Wave of Innovation is here driven by energy transition and AI, and it will define careers for the next 50 years.
🔹 The tailwind is enormous over $2 trillion per year is now flowing into clean energy globally (IEA, 2025), nearly 2x fossil fuel investment. The sustainability consulting market is projected to grow from USD 14B today to USD 270–480B by 2035.
🔹 ESG risks dominate the global agenda 7 of the top 10 long-term global risks are ESG related (WEF Global Risks Report 2025)
🔹 3 forces making sustainability non-negotiable - Governments (BRSR Core, CBAM, India CCTS), Investors & Lenders (~$4T under sustainable assets), and Corporates (CSDDD, ESG-linked strategy and margins).
