NAVDRISHTI 2025 A Celebration of Talent, Creativity & Togetherness ✨

Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College, University of Delhi, under the banner of SANKALP: B.A. Programme Association, began its mid-annual event series with the inaugural programme ‘Navdrishti’, held from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM. This first event of the session featured two major competitions

the Press News Competition and the Poetry Competition, both designed to encourage creativity, analytical thinking, and artistic expression among students.

The Press News Competition was conducted in three structured rounds, focusing on reporting skills, on-the-spot news writing, and final news presentation, offering participants a real-time newsroom experience.
The Poetry Competition added a literary charm to the event, where students expressed powerful emotions and ideas through self-composed verses.

This successful event took shape under the able guidance of TIC Prof. Sarbeswar Padhan, whose constant support ensured smooth coordination. Mr. Pankaj Bahot (History), Ms. Suchita Tripathi (English), Mr. Gyanendra Mishra (Hindi), Dr. Kalyanee Rajan (English), Dr. Chaitali Sinha (Hindi), and Mr. Shidhant Mishra (Political Science) — graced the event with their presence and extended valuable support.

The Association extends heartfelt gratitude to Principal Prof. Arun Kumar Attree for his continuous encouragement and institutional support.
SANKALP also acknowledges the dedicated efforts of President Vishnu Kumar, whose consistent involvement and attention to detail played a key role in making the event successful.

Both competitions witnessed remarkable enthusiasm, with over 90 participants from Delhi University and various other universities taking part, making ‘Navdrishti’ a vibrant, engaging, and memorable academic-cultural event.

Tribal Study Circle Birsa Munda Jayanti Celebrations

On the occasion of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti, the Tribal Study Circle organized an Essay Writing Competition and a Speech Competition on 15 November in the college campus.

A total of 20 students from various colleges actively participated in both competitions, showcasing their knowledge, perspectives, and communication skills.
In the Essay Writing Competition, a student from Motilal Nehru College (Evening) secured the First Prize. Similarly, in the Speech Competition, a student from Motilal Nehru College (Evening) also won the First Prize, demonstrating remarkable confidence and articulation.

The event concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation and appreciation from all present. The Tribal Study Circle expressed gratitude to all students, faculty members, and organizers for making the program meaningful and memorable.

Marching from the DM Office (South District) to Qutub Minar, our volunteers walked with purpose - honouring the Iron Man of India and spreading the message of unity, strength, and national integration

Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College's Dr. B R Ambedkar Study Circle and Veer Savarkar Study Circle organized a seminar on November 12, 2025, on the topic "Veer Savarkar's Contribution to Nation Building".

The program began with a tribute to the 11 innocent people killed in the Delhi terrorist attack. The event featured Mr. Kishor Bhai Makwana, Chairman, National Commission for Scheduled Castes, as the chief guest, and Rasikba Kesariya a renowned writer, as the main speaker. The college principal, Prof. Arun Kumar Attri, introduced the program and shared his thoughts.
