The
institute covers an area of 15 acres (0.061 km2) on the outskirts of south west Delhi, adjoining Rao Tula Ram Memorial Hospital in Jaffarpur Kalan Village. It shares its boundaries with Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in the east and in the west with C.B.P. Industrial Training Institute which is within the campus of GEC Jaffarpur. Admission to the college is done through the centralized counselling of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. Seats in the GEC Jaffarpur (and other affiliate colleges of the university) are alloted to the successful candidates of national level CET (Common Entrance Test) according to their ranks during the centralized counselling session of the university. CET is conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi for admission to all its affiliate colleges. To appear in the CET, candidates need to buy the Engineering and Architecture Brochure/Prospectus of the university and submit the application form at the university counter by hand or by post. The prospectus is available in the month of March/April. For students from the Delhi Region (students passing the qualifying exam from colleges/schools located within National Capital Territory of Delhi and excluding National Capital Region) 85% if the total seats in the university are reserved and remaining 15 % seats are for students from outside Delhi (including National Capital Region).
