It was a pleasure to reconnect with our valued partners at O. P. Jindal Global University (JGU) in Sonipat, India.

Our Indiana University delegation—Jennifer Engel, Ph.D., Cathie Carrigan, and Zafeena Suresh—had meaningful discussions on the future of our collaboration and shared goals. A highlight of the visit was exploring India’s first Constitution Museum at JGU—an AI-driven, immersive 3D experience of India’s constitutional journey.

Thank you to JGU for the warm hospitality and for hosting IU on campus! We look forward to continuing to build on this strong partnership.

IU Women of the World (WoW) Campaign for Women’s History Month 2026 featured six women of Indian origin who studied at Indiana University. These accomplished alumnae shared their academic journeys, career paths, and advice for success to inspire others.

IU Women of the World 2026: Neha Inamdar, is the Managing Director, Client Success, at Fresh Gravity, Pune, India. She loves travels and research destinations through books, podcasts, and videos beforehand. Once there, however, she embraces spontaneity — going with the flow, discovering unexpected places, and meeting interesting people along the way.

Her advice to younger women is simple yet powerful: “Asking for what you want is a muscle you need to build early.” She believes that advocating for yourself is a skill — and strength — that grows with practice.

In her previous roles, Neha served as Director of Data and Impact, Teach For All, Business Analyst at Serene Corporation, Pune, Alumni and Development Manager, Teach For India, Pune, and Consultant, Deloitte Consulting, Greater Chicago.

Neha’s academic journey includes an MS in Information Systems, Kelley School of Business, Indiana University Bloomington and a B.E. in Electronics & Telecommunications, Vishwakarma Institute of Technology, Pune, India.

Focused conversations around faculty and leadership engagement, alumni networks, and institutional partnerships opened up new avenues for US-India higher education collaboration!

Vedika Mittal, is AVP, Product Management, Andamen, Gurgaon. She treats every problem as her own to solve - acting with ownership and initiative, without waiting for perfect conditions, complete clarity, or permission. Outside of work, Vedika enjoys conversations that blend creativity, psychology, and expansive ideas about how people think and make decisions.

Vedika’s professional journey spans roles across data, technology, and product. She worked as Senior Data Engineer at Cummins Inc., Indiana; Lead Business Analyst at Amazon, Seattle; Senior Manager – Product Analytics at Dunzo, Gurgaon and Bengaluru; Product and Data Consultant at Udaan Biopacks, Gurgaon; and Senior Manager – Business & Product at Stashfin, Gurgaon. These diverse experiences have shaped her approach to building products that combine strong analytical thinking with real user insight.

Vedika holds a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, and a MS in Information Systems from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University Bloomington.
