Leadership, teamwork, adventure, and unforgettable memories — an experience that will always stay close to the heart.

From 23 June to 3 July, SUO Himanshu Singh had the opportunity to be part of a Leadership and Team Building Camp at the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand.

The camp was much more than just an adventure—it was a journey of learning, challenging ourselves, building confidence, and understanding the true meaning of teamwork and leadership. From tent pitching, sports climbing, river crossing, and trekking to various team-based activities, every day brought a new challenge and a new lesson.

Working together in difficult situations taught us that success is never just about individual strength. It is about trusting your team, supporting one another, taking responsibility, and moving forward together. Every activity pushed us beyond our comfort zones and helped develop courage, discipline, decision-making, and leadership qualities.

Beyond adventure and training, the camp also provided an opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage of India through temple visits and interactions with the local surroundings. It was a beautiful experience to observe and appreciate the traditions and culture of the region.

One of the most memorable parts of the camp was meeting new friends and fellow cadets from different parts of the country. Coming from different backgrounds and regions, we trained together, faced challenges together, helped each other, and created memories that will last far beyond the camp.

From climbing heights to crossing rivers, from trekking through the mountains to learning the importance of teamwork, every moment added something valuable to the journey.

An experience that strengthened not only the body, but also the mind, character, and spirit of leadership.

Leadership is not about standing ahead of the team; it is about making sure the entire team moves forward together.

A journey of adventure.
A journey of teamwork.
A journey of leadership.
A journey to remember.

The camp focused on leadership, teamwork, discipline, physical endurance and basic mountaineering skills. We participated in rope craft, rock climbing, rappelling, trekking, night march, bushcraft and various team-building activities. These experiences improved my confidence, decision-making, communication and ability to work under challenging conditions. Overall, the camp was a highly enriching experience that strengthened my leadership qualities, teamwork and sense of responsibility as an NCC cadet.

15 August 2026 — a day filled with pride, patriotism, and love for our nation.

Rajdhani College celebrated Independence Day with immense enthusiasm, patriotic spirit, and a deep sense of pride. The celebration was a beautiful reminder of the sacrifices, courage, and determination of the countless freedom fighters who dedicated their lives to the dream of an independent India.

The National Flag proudly soared high as the flag hoisting ceremony took place, creating an atmosphere filled with honour and patriotism. The NCC cadets had the privilege of performing the Guard of Honour during the flag hoisting ceremony, representing discipline, dedication, unity, and the spirit of service towards the nation.

The celebrations continued with a spirited Tiranga Rally, where students and NCC cadets came together with the Tricolour held high, spreading the message of patriotism, unity, and national pride. The sight of the Tiranga waving proudly throughout the rally reflected the love and respect that every Indian holds for the nation.

Being part of these celebrations as an NCC cadet was a moment of immense pride. Wearing the uniform, saluting the National Flag, and marching together with the Tricolour was not just a celebration, but a reminder of the responsibility we carry as the youth of India.

Independence Day is not only a day to remember our glorious past and honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, but also an opportunity to renew our commitment towards building a stronger, united, and progressive India.

A day of pride.
A day of remembrance.
A day of unity.
A day to celebrate the spirit of India.

Proud to be an NCC Cadet.
Proud to be an Indian.

Jai Hind! 🇮🇳

NCC Orientation Day — 18 August 2026
Rajdhani College | 6 Delhi Battalion NCC

More than an introduction, it was the beginning of a journey built on discipline, leadership, teamwork, and service to the nation.

The orientation gave our freshers a glimpse into the world of NCC — from its values and training to the experiences, responsibilities, and opportunities that come with being a cadet.

Led by our Senior Division (SD) cadets, the session brought together knowledge, experiences, and the spirit of NCC, helping the new cadets understand what lies ahead.

From introducing our rank holders to sharing real NCC experiences, every moment was a step towards understanding what it truly means to wear the uniform.

A new batch. A new journey. One spirit — NCC. 🇮🇳

Marching Onwards — Farewell DL’23

18 August wasn’t just an evening of performances and celebrations — it was a pause to look back at the people, lessons, and memories that shaped our journey.

From energetic performances to hilarious moments of mimicking our seniors, the evening carried every shade of the bond we shared — discipline with a little madness, respect with a lot of laughter.

As tokens of gratitude were exchanged and the cake was cut, we realised that farewells aren’t really about saying goodbye. They’re about carrying forward the values, stories, and spirit left behind by those who marched before us.

To DL’23 — thank you for leading the way, setting the standard, and giving us memories worth carrying forward.

The chapter may close, but the march continues.
Marching onwards. Together. 🇮🇳
