“The strongest voice is not the loudest; it is the one that leaves a thought behind.”

“सबसे मज़बूत आवाज़ वह नहीं जो सबसे ऊँची हो, बल्कि वह है जो एक विचार छोड़ जाए।”

*नए विचार। नई आवाज़ें। नई बहसें।*

We are delighted to welcome the newest voices to the ZeroHour family.

Here, questions are encouraged, perspectives are challenged, and every argument is an opportunity to think a little deeper.

Varta marked the commencement of a new tenure at ZeroHour, with a fruitful discussion on the motion: “The House believes that the presumption of moral superiority is inherently immoral.”

“सदन का मानना है कि नैतिक श्रेष्ठता की पूर्वधारणा स्वभावतः अनैतिक है।”

The motion invited the House to examine the idea of moral superiority, whether the act of placing oneself or one’s values above others is inherently problematic, and where the line between moral conviction and moral judgement lies.

The discussion brought forward diverse perspectives, with debaters questioning assumptions, engaging with opposing arguments, and adding new dimensions to the discourse.

INTRODUCING KOMAL KATHAYAT, OUR "PRESIDENT" 🌸

A leader who believes that a strong society is built not merely by positions, but by people, principles, and purpose. 💪

A debater at heart, Komal believes that every argument deserves to be questioned, every perspective deserves to be understood, and every opinion must stand on the strength of its logic and reasoning. 🙂‍↕️

But leadership is where she truly brings it all together. With a constant focus on growth, discipline, communication, and teamwork, she understands that being a President means carrying the responsibility of the entire society while making sure every individual feels valued within it.

For her, leadership is not about standing above the team, it is about standing with the team.🫡

As President, Komal steps forward with one goal, to build a stronger, sharper, more united ZeroHour, where every voice has the courage to speak, every mind has the freedom to question, and every debater has the opportunity to grow.

A debater. A leader. A listener. A builder of people and possibilities.

Komal Kathayat

INTRODUCING ANSHUL BERWAL, OUR "VICE PRESIDENT"

A mind that believes that excellence is not demanded, it is built through discipline, consistency, and the willingness to push beyond comfort. 🌟

With a sharp intellect and a strong understanding of debates, Anshul brings a different kind of leadership to ZeroHour. When it comes to rules, boundaries, discipline, and standards, he means business.🫡

He believes a debating society should not simply produce speakers, but good debaters, people who can think critically, construct arguments, question assumptions, handle pressure, and stand firmly behind their reasoning.

For him, a debate is not about who speaks the loudest. It is about who thinks deeper, argues better, and knows why they are standing where they stand. 💫

Sharp mind. Strong standards. Zero compromise on growth.
Anshul Berwal

INTRODUCING NIHARIKA MALIK,OUR "SECRETARY & TREASURER" 🩷✨

Every strong team needs someone who can look beyond the present, understand what needs to be done, and take responsibility for making it happen. Niharika brings that mindset to ZEROHOUR.

With a sharp intellect, thoughtful approach, and an eye for detail, she understands that leadership is not always about being the loudest voice in the room. Sometimes, it is about being the person who keeps things moving, keeps people together, and makes sure every responsibility is carried through.🙂‍↕️

And beyond all the responsibility, she brings the humour, the good vibes, and the ability to create genuine bonds within the core , because a strong team isn’t just built on work, but on the connections we create along the way. ✨

Two positions. One person. A greater responsibility. Niharika steps into the new core not merely to hold two designations, but to earn the trust that comes with them.

INTRODUCING ADITYA ROHIT, OUR "HINDI DEBATING COORDINATOR" 🌟🕺

A debater who understands that words are powerful only when they are backed by thought.

Beyond the debater, Aditya is someone who understands responsibility and ownership. He knows that a position is not merely a designation, it is a commitment to the people, the society, and the work entrusted to you. As the Hindi Debating Coordinator, he will be responsible for strengthening and carrying forward the Hindi debating wing of ZEROHOUR: The Bilingual Debating Society .💥 A lazy panda
