SPORTS/ECA QUOTA
Students who are wishing to seek admission in Delhi University not by the grace
of good percentage but under sports/ECA quota.Here is the all the information you needed to know.

First, the willing student candidates need to register themselves on the university portal. Registered students then will have to go for trials in colleges that have an apt infrastructure for thier specific sport or art.
Suppose college with good stage for a theater performance will held an auditions for theatrics.
Trials will be conducted at two levels:- 1.Preliminary trials 2.Final trials

Secondly, not only trials taken under consideration for giving the admission but the weightage of certificates earned by students in his/her lifetime also plays a major factor in process. For sports,50% of weightage will be given to both trials and certificates. But in case of ECA, however, 75% weightage will be given to trials and rest to certifcate.

Although students who qualified the requirements of SUPER CATEGORY can get a admission directly without any trial. Super category consist the sport persons who atleast once has represent the nation at international level championships, games and competetions.

Another important thing to be notice here is thata there are only 5% of reservation of seats under sports quota/ECA in DU colleges.

4.NSS
5.Theatre (dramatics/street play)
6.Creative writing

While the most sought-after in all of the courses in the Delhi University are the one which offer a sure-shot entry into the corporate world (BCom Honours, Economics Honours and professional courses like BMS, BBE etc), a Bachelors degree in literature, also known as English Honours, too seems to hold a distinct attraction to aspiring students. Counted among the ‘cool’ courses, this one has many takers.
Its popularity had lead to concerns in the faculty circuit about whether the students choose it for the love of the subject or simply for reputation sakes where they just missed the cut-offs of the abovementioned courses but managed good enough to match the English cut-offs.
Everyone thinks that with a BA honours in English, you can either become a teacher or a journalist, when the truth is you can do so much more. Here are different career paths you can take after doing BA Honours in English!

MBA
The basic requirement for anyone to pursue MBA is a graduate degree. So, depending on your field of interest, you can pursue MBA in finance, marketing, sales, HR, IB etc. You can use your skills to write and speak crisply to make great pitches and communicate the brand’s vision effectively to their target audience.

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
Since social media has become a big part of our lives, you can pursue it professionally after completing BA honours in English too. Since you are well read and can write just as well, you can combine these skills to market different brands to netizens.

PUBLIC RELATIONS
PR can be pursued in different categories from lifestyle to corporate to government and can be a challenging and exciting career option.

LAW
In fact, because you already have a graduate degree, you do not need to study for five years to become a professional lawyer, but can instead go for a three year course.

TRANSLATORS
You can take up the job of a translator as well and get paid really well for it. Since you are already proficient in the English language, all you need is to learn another foreign language (if you don't know one already) and work for the embassy or take up any other translator jobs.

CIVIL SERVICE
Yes, you can prepare and sit for civil service examinations too. In fact, your study in BA honours English can help you with your civils too, as civils don’t just test your knowledge base, but also test what opinion you hold on a particular topic or issue.

Students pursuing b.com (h) have great opportunity to go in different fields wheather it is finance , marketing, banking etc.
Here are some courses or career options they can go with after their graduation
1) Chartered Accountant (CA)
CA exams are conducted by Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) and requires one to clear 3 Examinations over the period of time that are CPT, IPCC and Final CA. Since you are done with your graduation, you are eligible to directly appear for IPCC which consists of two groups. After clearing one of the groups, a student is required to register for articleship with experienced CA’s for a period of two and a half years. After clearing both groups of IPCC and successfully completing your articleship you can appear for Final CA
2) Masters of Commerce (M.Com)
It is a two year program and you can pursue it from any of the recognized institutes. M.Com is a program that focuses on systematic study of Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Taxation, Marketing and Management and therefore it gives insights about all the fields.
3) Masters of Business Administration (MBA in Finance)
It is a two year program on completion of which you can easily get job in financial service sector. A good career in MBA totally depends on the credibility of the institute that you are pursuing from.
4) Business Accounting and Taxation (BAT)
This course will give practical understanding of accounting, taxation, reporting and compliance all the skills that you need in accounting firms (Big 4s), KPOs or other hard core finance and account profiles.

Right from understanding the basic journal entry, final accounts, tax compliances, we will also help you to enhance your soft skills (business communication), understanding advanced Excel and technology used in industry, the most essential, SAP training.
5) Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
The CMA is offered by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) USA and the content is regularly reviewed by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA). To become a CMA, a student is required to clear two examinations. CMA demonstrates your professional expertise in financial planning, analysis, control, decision support, and professional ethics – making you the preferred choice of the potential employers.
6) Certified Public Accounting (CPA)
The exam is administered by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A CPA qualification is similar to the Indian CA qualification. In addition to the CA qualification, a CPA will have knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (GAAS), US federal taxation and business laws. This exam consists of 4 exams which can be completed within a period of less than a year. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is the highest standard of competence in the field of Accountancy across the globe.
