The National Institute of Disaster Management ( ) inaugurated the đ đźđđđČđż đ§đżđźđ¶đ»đČđż đđČđđČđčđŒđœđșđČđ»đ đđŒđđżđđČ đŒđ» đđŒđșđœđżđČđ”đČđ»đđ¶đđČ đđ¶đđźđđđČđż đ„đ¶đđž đ đźđ»đźđŽđČđșđČđ»đ being held from 11th to 22nd May, 2026 at Southern Campus, Vijayawada. The programme aims to strengthen institutional capacities and develop a pool of master trainers in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction ( ) and Disaster Management.
đđ»đźđđŽđđżđźđč đđ¶đŽđ”đčđ¶đŽđ”đđ:
đž đŠđ”đżđ¶ đŠđ”đČđžđ”đČđż đđ”đźđđđżđđČđ±đ¶, đđđđ¶đđđźđ»đ đŁđżđŒđłđČđđđŒđż & đđŒđđżđđČ đđŒđŒđżđ±đ¶đ»đźđđŒđż, delivered the Welcome Address and provided an overview of the course, highlighting its objectives, structure, learning approach, and expected outcomes, and emphasized the importance of developing skilled master trainers to strengthen disaster preparedness and resilience across sectors.
đž đŁđżđŒđł. đĄđźđđ»đČđČđ đđđșđźđż, đĄđđđ , delivered the Keynote Address emphasizing emerging challenges of climate change, hydro-meteorological hazards, urban risks, and the importance of technology-driven disaster management and capacity building.
đž đđŒđč. đŁ. đŠ. đ„đČđ±đ±đ, đđŒđ¶đ»đ đđ¶đżđČđ°đđŒđż, đĄđđđ , delivered the Inaugural Address highlighting disaster governance, preparedness mechanisms, inter-agency coordination, and the critical role of trained master trainers in building resilience.
The programme is expected to significantly strengthen technical knowledge, training skills, and practical understanding of disaster risk reduction, contributing towards building a resilient and disaster-ready India.
