‘Round Table on Innovation and Entrepreneurship with Dynamic Pitching Session at Jamia Millia Islamia's Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship’
New Delhi, February 20, 2024 - The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at Jamia Millia Islamia organized a Round Table event on February 19, 2024, featuring a dynamic pitching session at the Livelihood Business Incubator (LBI). The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Syaid Shahin Alam, Chairman & CEO of Agmire & Anglo American Group of Companies, as the chief guest.
Prof. Rihan Khan Suri, Director of CIE, extended a warm welcome to Mr. Shahin and provided a succinct introduction to the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The event showcased the achievements of several start-ups currently incubated within the CIE.
The pitching session saw presentations from innovative start-ups, including:

• Uvera Mobility
• Nicheby Pvt. Ltd.
• Expanse Cosmos (Aerospace)
• College Skills
• Wheel ease solutions
These start-ups presented their groundbreaking ideas and initiatives to a distinguished audience.
Mr. Syaid Shahin Alam expressed his enthusiasm for meeting the young and dynamic entrepreneurs of Jamia Millia Islamia. Throughout the event, he shared valuable insights and tips with aspiring entrepreneurs, encouraging them to pursue their goals with dedication and passion.
Mr. Shahin was notably impressed by the innovative projects and initiatives presented by the start-ups. He commended the entrepreneurial spirit and dedication of the young minds at Jamia Millia Islamia. Additionally, Mr. Shahin expressed his admiration for the significant contributions of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, recognizing it as a hub for fostering innovation and nurturing emerging talent.
Furthermore, Mr. Shahin highlighted the pivotal role of Prof. Rihan Khan Suri in fostering the startup culture at Jamia Millia Islamia. He appreciated Prof. Suri's commitment and leadership in driving the CIE's initiatives and making significant strides towards creating a conducive environment for entrepreneurship within the university.
In addition to the pitching session, Mr. Shahin engaged with students enrolled in short-term skill-based courses at the Livelihood Business Incubator. He visited various units, including Tailoring & Embroidery, Beauty Parlor, Bakery, Pet Bottle Manufacturing, RO Mineral Added Packaged Drinking Water, Paper Cup and Plate Manufacturing, and the Computer Hardware Lab.
The visit also encompassed an exploration of the robotics workspace, where Mr. Shahin interacted with the teams from Curies Robotics and Alternative Dynamics. Both teams showcased their innovative products, earning commendation from Mr. Shahin for their creativity and dedication.
