Continuum

Continuum Continuum is a nationwide youth based organisation which aims towards imparting knowledge in the field of Technology and Management.

It is a platform where Technocrats and managers meet, interact and nourish their skills. Continuum is not merely an organization which caters only to a particular segment of students, rather it is a society for anyone and everyone who wants and dares to venture into the dizzying world of innovation. It is an initiative to get acquainted with the technology available today in the most utilizing and

productive manner. It is a concept that grows and feeds on the birth of innovative ideas. It enables students to venture into a new field and link it to their management skills by creating something unique, productive and of course, fun. For Science Students, various workshops on robotics and automation will be organized, keeping in mind complete application of the theoretical concepts learnt. Similarly, for non-science students, the organisation plans to holds workshops on software such as Tally, ERP, etc to make sure that the knowledge theoretically gained meets a practical edge as well. We plan to hold various workshops which will enhance technological skills and knowledge of a person. Besides, to make sure that it is not all work and no play, we aim to hold various competitions and events which will make sure that the fun element merges perfectly with technological awareness. "It is easy to kill individuals but you can not kill the ideas. Great empires crumbled, while the ideas survived"
These were the words of a 23 year old boy who sacrificed his life for his country, Sardar Bhagat Singh.
The whole world saw how the 'great British empire' crumbled in front of Bhagat Singh's and his comrades' idea of Purn Swaraj.
This Martyrs' Day we pay our respect to those who sacrificed their life for their country, for our country: Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Shivram Rajguru & Shaheed Sukhdev Thapar.

And the big day is here. The days when we were still under the thumb of the British Rule, no one had imagined that this day would come. But it did.
All thanks to the perseverance, courage and determination of our forefathers. The final frontier of the struggle for our Freedom saw three great movements that channelized the spirit of patriotism and nationalism like a spark, throughout the nation. The Non-Cooperation Movement, the Civil Disobedience Movement and the biggest of them all, the Quit India Movement, all initiated by Mahatma Gandhi, whom we all fondly call Bapu, or Father of the Nation; sent out a clear message to the British Empire, that India had had enough.
The right to freedom was ours. And we had it.

As we celebrate 68 years of our freedom today, we also steer our energies and focus to the part of our country that really needs us. The people who have no one. The people whose plights go unnoticed. The people who achieve, but are not rewarded as deserved. Let's join our hands and strive for a better India, a brighter India. For what is a country, if not its people?

wishes everyone a very Happy Independence Day!

"Swaraj is my birthright, and I shall have it."

Bal Gangadhar Tilak was the first Indian nationalist to embrace Swaraj as the destiny of the nation. He resented the denial of freedom of expression for nationalists, and the lack of any voice or role for ordinary Indians in the affairs of their nation.
Tilak advocated civil agitation and direct revolution to overthrow the British Empire and the abandonment of all things British.
With the support of valiant leaders like Bipin Chandra Pal and Lala Lajpat Rai (a.k.a Punjab Kesari and Sher-e-Punjab), India's three great states – Maharashtra, Bengal and Punjab shaped the demand of the people and India's nationalism.

This magnificent trio, which is popularly called, Lal-Bal-Pal gave us some of the most dedicated and patriotic sons this country has ever produced.

This Independence Day, remembers their struggle and salutes them for their courage. Let's pay homage to these great idols of Indian History and try to bring the India of their dreams to life.

After the Rebellion of 1857 was suppressed, it was a period of growing political awareness, manifestation of Indian public opinion and emergence of Indian leadership at both national and provincial levels. It was during this time that Dadabhai Naoroji founded the East India Association and Surendranath Banerjee founded The India National Association. Also, inspired by A.O. Hume, 73 Indian delegates met in Bombay and founded the Indian National Congress.

This was a period that saw the awakening of Nationalism in the country's people. Socio-religious groups like Arya Samaj (founded by Dayanand Saraswati) and Brahmo Samaj (founded by Raja Ram Mohan Roy) played integral roles in reforming the Indian society.

Works of people like Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Sri Aurobindo, V.O. Chidambaram Pillai Subramanya Bharathy, Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Rabindranath Tagore and the Scots–Irish Sister Nivedita, spread the passion for rejuvenation and freedom.

As India's 68th Independence Day nears us, we pay homage to these true sons and daughters of India and pledge to give do everything we can to help eradicate the evils that still plague our society. Their sacrifices were not in vain. Nationalism still survives.

This 15th August, let's rekindle the fire. Let's be the citizens that our country needs.

As another Independence Day dawns upon us, we take a few moments to remember those who laid down their lives so that we could breathe in a free country.

The First Outrage against Foreign Rule: The Rebellion of 1857

Great men and women like Mangal Pandey, Rani Laxmi Bai, Ahmed Ullah, Nana Saheb and Rao Saheb, Tantia Tope, Azimullah Khan, Kunwar Singh, Firuz Saha and Bahadur Shah Zafar along with many more lesser known valiant heroes revolted against the British Rule and marked the beginning of the years of toil and resistance that eventually led to the overthrow of tyranny and gave us *OUR* INDIA.

pays homage to these immortal souls for their courage and selfless patriotism. For their grit and their guts.
