The Community Radio Tarang 90.0 FM, Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi, hosted its Orientation on 19 August 2026, inviting students to discover the power of storytelling, creativity, and communication. 📻

🎤 Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Coordinator of Radio Tarang, highlighted how every student has a creative voice waiting to be heard — and radio provides the perfect platform to bring it to life.

Since its inception on 13 February 2023, Tarang has produced 450+ programmes covering an incredible range of subjects — from career and entertainment to health, science, psychology, philosophy, culture, and literature. 🚀

📻 From ‘Adab Ki Duniya’ and ‘Kitabnama’ celebrating literature, to ‘Kisse Kamyabi Ke’ sharing stories of freedom fighters and ‘Sawaal Sehat Ka’ exploring physical and mental health — Tarang gives students countless ways to learn, create, and connect.

🌟 Students can also gain hands-on experience through the station’s one-month Skill Development Course, along with educational visits to All India Radio (Akashvani).

🪔📚 Honouring the Guru, Celebrating the Tradition of Knowledge

Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi, in collaboration with Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal, organised a Vyasa Puja Ceremony on 17 August 2026, celebrating the timeless significance of the Guru, education, and the Indian knowledge tradition. 🌿

Held in the college Seminar Room, the ceremony featured Prof. Arvind Kumar from Jawaharlal Nehru University as the keynote speaker, with Principal Prof. Rakesh Kumar Gupta presiding over the event.

🎙️ Prof. Arvind Kumar spoke about the revered place of the Guru in Indian tradition — as a source of knowledge, guidance, and wisdom. He also introduced students to the significance of the four Vedas and reflected on why the role of a Guru remains relevant even in today’s rapidly changing world.

✨ An interactive question-and-answer session with students made the discussion even more engaging, encouraging them to reflect on the enduring relationship between knowledge, guidance, and personal growth.

What happens when Artificial Intelligence, Neuroscience, Psychology, Cyber Forensics, and Cybersecurity come together? The possibilities are fascinating — and thought-provoking. 👀

On 13 August 2026, the Department of Computer Science, Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi organised an insightful seminar exploring the role of AI in understanding human behaviour, personality, and potential threats.

🎙️ Ms. Geetanjali Srivastava, the keynote speaker, highlighted an important perspective: AI should complement human expertise, not replace it.

The seminar explored:

🇮🇳 Celebrating Freedom, Building a Developed India! 🇮🇳

Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi celebrated the 80th Independence Day with a flag-hoisting ceremony and a message of responsibility, progress, and national commitment. ✨

Addressing the gathering, Principal Prof. Rakesh Kumar Gupta highlighted the vital role students will play in building a Viksit Bharat. He encouraged students to stand up for their rights while preserving the values, culture, and respect for elders passed down through generations.

🎓 The college is also working towards expanding opportunities for its students:
🔹 Permission has been sought for one-year PG programmes in 12 subjects.
🔹 Skill-development initiatives will provide industry-oriented training to enhance employability.
🔹 With smart classrooms, an air-conditioned campus, and dedicated faculty, the college continues to strengthen its academic environment.

The celebrations also featured inspiring words on the struggles of Partition and the sacrifices of freedom fighters, a powerful poetry performance by Soumya Banjare, and an anti-drug campus pledge led by NSS President A***n Gambhir.

🎓 A Warm Welcome to the New Batch at Ram Lal Anand College! 🌟

Ram Lal Anand College, University of Delhi, proudly welcomed its newest students and their parents during the 63rd Orientation Programme held on 3 August 2026. 💙

Addressing the freshers, Principal Prof. Rakesh Kumar Gupta congratulated them on becoming a part of the RLA family and highlighted the college's remarkable achievements. He shared that the college was awarded an A+ Grade by NAAC and has secured an impressive position in the NIRF Rankings. 📚🏆

One of the most exciting announcements was the college's support for innovation and entrepreneurship—students with promising startup ideas can receive funding of up to ₹10 lakh to turn their vision into reality! 🚀💡

The Principal also introduced Tarang 90.0 FM, the only Community Radio Station in the University of Delhi, where students create educational and socially impactful programmes. Encouraging students to balance technology with traditional learning, he emphasized that while smartphones are useful, reading books remains essential for growth. 📖📱

📰✨ Launch of the July 2026 Edition of Campus Connect! 🎉

The July 2026 edition of Campus Connect, the monthly e-newsletter of Ram Lal Anand College, was officially launched on 22 July 2026.

The newsletter was unveiled by Principal Prof. Rakesh Kumar Gupta and Prof. Rakesh Kumar, Coordinator of the Department of Hindi Journalism & Mass Communication. The launch ceremony was conducted by Editor Bhumika Shardul and Associate Editor Deepika.

Congratulating both student editors, the Principal encouraged them to continue their work with the same dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment.

During the launch, Prof. Rakesh Kumar Gupta also suggested that, with the beginning of the new academic session, the Department of Hindi Journalism & Mass Communication should actively incorporate Mobile Journalism (MoJo) by creating reels and other short-form content to cover college events.

He emphasized that showcasing college activities, societies, and expert sessions through engaging digital formats would not only provide journalism students with valuable hands-on experience in new media but also strengthen the college's outreach and visibility through social media platforms.
