As part of the academic and research-oriented activities, a visit to the Indian Law Institute (ILI) Library was organised on 12th August, 2026 by School of law, IIMT to provide the LL. B students with practical exposure to one of the premier legal research libraries in India. The visit aimed to familiarise students with various resources and facilities available for legal research and to encourage them to develop effective research and information-gathering skills. Prof. Dr. Anil Parkash Sharma, Director, IIMT, Prof. Dr. Hemlata Sharma, Officiating Principal, SOL, Dr. Sangeetha Abraham, Mr. Sidharth Rathore and Mr. Vishal Khudania accompanied by 40 students went for the visit.
During the visit the students were apprised of the importance of primary and secondary sources of law and were guided on how to locate and utilise relevant legal materials for academic research by the Director of ILI, Sr. Prof. Dr. V.K.Ahuja and Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, ILI. Indian Law Institute, Delhi.

📢 FDP DAY 5 — Grand Finale & Valedictory Session! 📢

The Department of Management successfully concluded its Five-Day Faculty Development Programme (Online) on "AI-Powered Pedagogy: Empowering Teaching and Research", organised under the aegis of the IQAC in collaboration with the IDEAL R&D Cell, with Day 5 and the Valedictory Session held on 31st July 2026.

The concluding session on "Institutional Transformation through AI" was graced by Prof. Loveleen Gaur, Dissertation Committee Chair, DBA Program, Golden Gate University Worldwide, USA, who joined as Chief Guest as well as Keynote Speaker of the day.

The Valedictory Session was further honoured by the presence of our Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Aggarwal Ji, and Prof. (Dr.) Anil Parkash Sharma, Director, IIMT, whose encouraging words and continued support added great value to the program.

The session offered profound insights into how AI can drive transformation at the institutional level, inspiring educators to think beyond the classroom and reimagine the future of higher education.

📢 FDP DAY 4 — Exploring AI for Smarter Teaching! 📢

The Department of Management successfully conducted Day 4 of its Five-Day Faculty Development Programme (Online) on “AI-Powered Pedagogy: Empowering Teaching and Research”, organised under the aegis of the IQAC in collaboration with the IDEAL R&D Cell.

The session featured Dr. Gautam Buddha Sitaram, Professor, GSC College, Utkal University, Orissa, as the Expert Speaker, along with Mr. Pradeep Kumar Sahoo, IT Consultant, Generative AI & Data Science Expert, as the Keynote Speaker.

The session on “Generative AI Tools for Smart Teaching, Content Creation & Assessment” provided practical insights into leveraging AI for innovative teaching, content development, and effective assessment. The engaging discussions and active participation made the session highly enriching for all faculty members.

Day 2 Highlights | Faculty Development Programme 2026

The Department of Management, Ideal Institute of Management & Technology (IIMT), successfully conducted Day 2 of its Five-Day Faculty Development Programme on “AI-Powered Pedagogy: Empowering Teaching and Research.”

The session on “Crime Against Women in the Age of AI, Digitalisation and Legal Provisions” was delivered by our esteemed resource person, Prof. (Dr.) Anil Parkash Sharma, Director, IIMT.

The session provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of AI-enabled cyber crimes against women, including deepfakes, voice cloning, cyberstalking, identity theft, and digital fraud. Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the Information Technology Act, 2000, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, digital evidence, cybercrime reporting mechanisms, and recent judicial developments in India.

The interactive discussions and case-based deliberations emphasized the crucial role of educators in promoting digital literacy, ethical AI practices, cybersecurity awareness, and responsible technology use within higher education.

The School of Law at IIMT successfully concluded its valedictory session on July 24, 2026, featuring Professor Dr. Arvind P. Bhanu—Professor of Law Research & Additional Director at Amity University, Noida, India, and Adjunct Professor at Adelaide Law School, University of Adelaide, Australia, as the keynote speaker. Addressing the audience on the topic "Integrating Clinical Pedagogy into Constitutional and Human Rights Law Classrooms," Professor Bhanu emphasized the urgent need to move beyond traditional textbook teaching by embedding experiential learning, live simulations, and community engagement into legal education.
