Now a days we all want our kids to be independent and active learners. And that's only possible when we provide them with the right environment that facilitates self-learning skills. I have heard a lot about the Kumon way of learning and how it is instrumental in shaping those skills that are required in the kids of 21st century. And recently, even got a chance to visit one of the centers to understand how the entire program works.
Kumon India Sri Lanka, as we know, is an after-school learning program for kids 3 years and above, that helps accelerate their learning and provides them with an academic advantage in school and beyond. Different from other passive learning programs, Kumon mainly focuses on logical concept building and developing critical-thinking skills in kids through well-planned worksheets.
Frankly, I always thought that A&A, who are 3.5 now, are too young to join such a program. But to my surprise I found out that they aren't. In fact Kumon can instill in them those skills and mindset that not just help them learn new concepts but also give a good head start before they enter the main school.
