DCAC is the ace of the present journalistic civilisation in the University of Delhi. Popularly referred to as the ‟Mecca‟ of Journalism, the college is the pioneer of journalism in the year 1989. We here at DCAC are doing a splendid job by providing some of the greatest journalists of the decade -- Rahul Kanwal, Monika Kshatriya, Anibran Roy, Shalini Langer , Rishabh Gulati and many others. This e

stablishment doesn‟t just follow the academic discourse but also places equal importance on shaping professional skills. It is a beacon of hope for all those aspirants who grew up pretending to go for Medical studies but actually reading the news magazines under the covers at night with flash light. We‟ve scaled unimaginable heights over the years. The only place where you would ever want to study Journalism is DCAC. About DCAC
The Delhi College of Arts & Commerce introduced the prestigious B.A. Journalism course in the year 1989. Since then it has travelled a long way… today DCAC and Journalism are synonymous. Over the years we have given anchors , editors , reporters , correspondents, analysts, filmmakers, PR professionals, copy writers, Rj's, Vj's, social activists, policy-makers to the media industry. No area in the media has been left untouched by our students. We have a very talented , mature and experienced faculty who have nurtured the students with their rich inputs and have carved a niche for the department. Why DCAC? The course prepares the students to enter the industry as trained professionals ready to take on the challenges and responsibilities that it offers. It empowers the students with knowledge and skills, thus inducing professionalism in them. The revised curriculum has been crafted in order to encompass the changing demands of the media. The department has highly qualified and experienced permanent faculty members. They are assisted by visiting and guest faculty. The department has a history of inviting highly placed professionals from the industry such as Karan Thapar , Saikat Dutta , Nidhi Razdan , Vinod Sharma , Pankaj Pachauri, Norris Pritam, T.R. Ramachandran, Madhu Kishwar , Justice R.S. Sodhi , Neerja Chaudhary , Satish Jacob , Waiel Awaad, Ajit Sahi, Sandeep Dixit, Sanjeev Srivastava , Suhasini Haider, Seema Mustafa , Ritul Joshi, Shams Tahir Khan , Anjali Bhardwaj and the list seems endless… to deliver lectures and broaden the horizon of the students.

After Harvey Weinstein was exposed by the New York Times and New Yorker, Women decided to reclaim the Media World. was started by Tarana Burke, 'Complicit' was declared the word of the year by dictionary.com and 2017 became the year of women. At the Golden Globes, women wore black and some men wore a badge that said "Time's Up" as Oprah Winfrey delivered a historic speech upon receiving the Cecile B.DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement.

We're delighted to present our second panelist for the Panel Discussion, Ms. Neha Dixit. She is a Freelance Journalist and the winner of the Chameli Devi Award for outstanding Women Journalist for 2016. She has extensively covered gender. In June 2017, she was associated with the initiative at Indian Express as an ICFJ Knight Fellow.
