🌍Asteroid Day a.k.a International Asteroid Day is an annual global event observed on the anniversary of Siberian Tunguska event that took place on June 30, 1908.... .
Tunguska event was a huge explosion that occurred near Podkamennaya Tunguska River in Krasnoyarsk Krai(Yeniseysk Governorate), Russia... Even though there was no impact crater was found... Over 770 sq miles of forest was flattened (no human casualties).
☄️Asteroid Day was proclaimed by UN to be observed on 30th June. It aims to raise awareness about asteroids and what can be done to protect the Earth, its families, communities, and future generations from a catastrophic event.
