Jamia Millia Islamia ( اسلامیہ ملیہ جامعہ, Hindi: जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया, translation: National Islamic University]) is an Indian Central University located in Delhi. It became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu and Arabic, Jamia means University[citation needed], and Millia means National . The location of Jamia on the Global map is 28°33′41.79″N 77°16′48.5

Happy 95th Jamia foundation Day " yaume Tasis" . Let's pledge that we will keep our great founders ' aims intact and fulfill their dreams which they saw 95 years ago in a tiny building at Aligerh. That dream has been realised into a Central University imparting quality education with a purpose ! Let's go ahead and achieve more successes in order to make our nation strong as perceived by those great people. A few excerpts from Jamia Tarana;

This is a heartening news that a good number of Muslim Students have qualified for the Civil Services. Many of them are from AMU and JMI. It shows increased level of awareness among these students. Let's hope that these Universities will do even better in future.

There are parents, who boast their children's performance on the facebook and other social media sites. On the other hand there are many more students who could not do that well in their board exams? Have they failed in life? The reply is obviously no. Those who got top grades are not sure of their success in future as well ? What is the use of boasting their performance on social media? Nothing except that they are creating pressure on those students who just missed the target by a whisker. It's better to avoid such euphoria on the net in larger public interest. May better sense prevail !!!

Skill development has become a necessary element for getting a decent job. No doubt Jamia Millia is producing a lot of graduates in various streams like History, Political Science, Socialigy, Languages and Humanities but in the process producing a lot of unemployed youths as well. Even the graduates from Science strwam are finding it difficult to get decdnt job. I am not against these courses but I am just favouring an idea of getting a decent job. If someone is interested and has ability to go for higher studies i.e. research and producing research papers there can not be any discussion on that but those who are just interested in getting graduation and post graduation degrees must give it a second thought. I have seen many of these students struggling for years and years altogether and still unable to get a decent job. Friends ! Let's think again and if agree go for some professional course or some skill upgradation programme to get a job at the earliest rather than pulling on the struggle for getting a job. Any comments friends?

The issue of rehabilitation of riot-affected people of Muzaffarnagar have been totally neglected by UP Government. The situation is worse than Gujarat. The SP Government must be reminded of its fault and criminal negligence of rehabilitation issues.

Talim is a group to coordinate the efforts of all the Jamia Alumnai for providing better education opportunities for the students from Eastern UP in particular and the students from UP and Bihar in general. Your advice in this regard is most welcome.
