Today we inaugurated the Foundation Course in , organised by Zakir Husain Delhi College University of Delhi in collaboration with the India Centre of Busan University of Foreign Studies. The course begins today and will introduce students to the fundamentals of reading, basic conversation, grammar, and cultural contexts to strengthen language skills and deepen academic and cultural ties between India and Korea🇮🇳🇰🇷

We thank our partner institution, faculty, and the students who joined the inaugural session. This programme aims to support interdisciplinary learning, open pathways for research and exchange, and enrich our curriculum with an important Asian language.

Zakir Husain Delhi College successfully celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 on 21 June under the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.” Around 50 -60 participants, including NSS volunteers, teachers, and non-teaching staff, enthusiastically participated in the event. The programme was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Surendra Singh , Principal Prof. Narendra Singh, and Yoga Resource Person Shri Nami Chand Ji. Principal Prof. Narendra Singh addressed the gathering with an inspiring message on the importance of adopting yoga for a healthy and balanced life.

Participants performed various yoga asanas, including Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Bhujangasana, Vajrasana, and Pranayama, promoting physical and mental well being. The event concluded on a positive note, reaffirming the spirit of wellness and healthy ageing.

Zakir Husain Delhi College commemorated 100 years of its historic affiliation with a grand Centenary Alumni Reunion and Cultural Evening held on Saturday at the college auditorium.

The event commenced on a solemn and celebratory note with the rendition of the University Kul Geet, setting the tone for an evening that blended nostalgia, pride, and cultural vibrancy. Organized under the visionary leadership of Principal Prof. Narendra Singh, the programme brought together an illustrious gathering of alumni from diverse fields including politics, diplomacy, literature, journalism, and academia.

The celebration was graced by the presence of distinguished alumni whose presence underscored the institution’s long-standing legacy of excellence and public service.

A key highlight of the evening was the felicitation ceremony honouring these distinguished alumni for their exceptional contributions in their respective domains.

The cultural segment of the programme featured a vibrant mohiniattam dance performance and musical performance by the students, adding a celebratory dimension to the occasion. Alumni also shared heartfelt recollections of their time at the college, reflecting on its role in shaping their personal and professional journeys.
