Department of Mathematics-South Asian University The Department of Mathematics at South Asian University was established in the year 2012.

The Department of Mathematics was established in the year 2012, with a vision of being a research-oriented Department that would cater the need for high end Applied Mathematicians in the SAARC region. Keeping in view the applicability of Mathematics across almost all disciplines, the Department has instituted Doctor of Philosophy program and a unique and focused master's program in Applied Mathema

tics which is having up-to-date curriculum with an adequate emphasis on theory, computation and application of Mathematics. Moreover, the Department is committed to keep the curriculum dynamic so that the latest trend/demand of the courses would be taken care of. The Department has a strong team of research oriented academicians all of whom have vast research and teaching experience. At present, the Department of Mathematics consists of eight regular faculty members.

Dear Students,

The South Asian University is organizing its first ever Convocation on
Tuesday, the 24th December, 2013 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

His Excellency, the Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest and His Excellency, the President of Republic of Maldives and the Visitor of SAU, Mr. Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom, will preside over the Convocation.

To share academic excitements with graduates, all students are invited to attend the Convocation on mentioned date above. While no dress code is mandated, all students are advised to be dressed which befits the occasion of the convocation.

Those who want to attend convocation must provide their two PP size colour photos and a copy of SAU’s Student ID Card at Admissions Dept.
