OCEANS XV (OXV) was formed by 15 senior seafarers in 2007 and strives to anticipate and respond to the expectations of seafarers, the marine fraternity at large through quality education, in accordance and conformance to international standards. OXV offers company specific training of the sea going officers both onshore and onboard ships. These courses are related to marine safety as required by s
hipping companies and the oil majors e.g. Bridge Team Management, Electronic Charts (ECDIS), Global Maritime Distress Safety System (GMDSS), Risk Assessment and Risk Management, Quality and Safety Assessment, Marine Accident Investigation etc. Through its Trust, OXV has a joint venture with Bibby Ship Management – India, a part of Bibby Group - U.K., one of the oldest British shipping organizations (founded in 1807), to provide several simulator based courses in North India, e.g. Oceans XV are a registered company. The Company’s vision is to primarily enhance the safety standards being adhered to on ships and to this end the work force comprises of people with very rich experience and totally committed to the cause. The company meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 and its courses are approved by KVQA - Norway, Indian Register of Shipping (IRQS), The Liberian Maritime Administration, The Maritime Administrator of The Marshall Islands and The Ministry of Communications, Government of India. OXV continuously develops new training programs for the shipping industry. If an organization has a particular training requirement, OXV will develop the necessary programme to meet that requirement and deliver the same. Sometime ago, OXV developed the Vapour Emission Control & Balancing Course for officers sailing with Dynacom Tankers- Greece, as per the new requirements of U.S. oil terminals.
