Canvas of Variables: Inter-College Poster Making Competition

The Mathematics Society presents Canvas of Variables, an exciting Inter-College Poster Making Competition that blends creativity with mathematical thinking.

✨ Theme: “Human Life and Mathematics”

This competition invites participants to creatively illustrate how mathematics is deeply connected to human life—from daily activities to complex systems shaping our world.

📌 Participation Details:

1) Open to students from various colleges (Inter-College Level)
2) Individual participation only

🎨 Poster Requirements:

1) Poster must be handmade
2) The theme should clearly reflect the relationship between human life and mathematics
3)The poster should be:
Neat, Creative, Visually appealing

🖌️ Materials:

1) Participants must bring their own drawing materials (colors, pencils, sketch pens, etc.)
2) A3 Sheets will be provided at the venue

⏳ Time Limit:
Total duration: 45–60 minutes

📝 Submission Guidelines:

1) Poster must be completed within the given time
2) No printed or pre-prepared material will be allowed

⚖️ General Rules:

1) Use of unfair means or copying will lead to disqualification
2) The decision of the judges will be final and binding

MathScribe: Inter-College Mathematics Exposition Competition

The Mathematics Society presents MathScribe , an Inter-College Essay Writing Competition designed to explore the intellectual connection between mathematics and modern innovations.

✨ Theme: “Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence: Challenges and Opportunities”

This competition encourages participants to express their ideas on how mathematics contributes to the development of Artificial Intelligence, along with the challenges and future possibilities in this field.

📌 Participation Details:

1) Open to students from all colleges (Inter-College Level)
2) Individual participation only

✍️ General Rules :

1) Word limit: 450–600 words
2) Essay must be original and written in English
3) Content should maintain a balance between conceptual explanation and mathematical relevance
4) Use of basic mathematical concepts, examples, or expressions is encouraged
5) No phone or any reference material will be allowed

⏳ Time Duration:- 45–60 minutes

📝 Submission Guidelines:

1) Essay must be handwritten
2) Writing sheets will be provided at the venue
3) Proper structure must be followed:
( Introduction ---> Body ---> Conclusion )

The Mathematics Society invites you to participate in Slide-o-metry, an exciting Inter-College PowerPoint Presentation.

Theme :- “Real-Life Relation Between Mathematics and Technology"

This competition aims to explore how mathematics plays a crucial role in shaping modern technology and innovations in our daily lives.

📌 Participation Details:

1) Open to students from all colleges (Inter-College Level)
2) Maximum 2 participants per team.

📊 Presentation Guidelines:

1) Presentation must be in PowerPoint (PPT) format or PDF format
2) 8–12 slides are required
3) Participants must bring their PPT in a pen drive and also keep an email backup

📚 Your presentation should:

1) Clearly demonstrate the connection between Mathematics and Technology
2) Include real-life applications such as AI, Machine Learning, Cryptography, Engineering, etc.
3) Use diagrams, graphs, and visuals to enhance understanding

⏳ Time Limit:

1)Total time: 6–8 minutes per team
2) Presentation: 5–6 minutes
3) Q&A Round: 1–2 minutes

Our student Lucky Chauhan (B.Sc. Hons. Mathematics, 3rd Year) has developed a Python-based tool to analyze results from University of Delhi result gazettes.

This project reflects his programming skills as well as his strong logical thinking as a student of Mathematics.

The project was presented to our respected Principal Sir, who appreciated the effort and innovation.
