Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Review Meeting was successfully held on 30th April 2025 in the esteemed presence of Dr. Vineet Joshi, Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education, Government of India, at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC).

The meeting was also attended by Shri Armstrong Pame, Joint Secretary (RUSA & UBA), Ministry of Education, and Prof Virendra Kumar Vijay, National Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.

Representatives from Regional Coordinating Institutes (RCIs) and Subject Expert Groups (SEGs) actively participated, contributing valuable insights and discussions aimed at strengthening the impact and outreach of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan scheme.

DAY 1 - Abhyudaya 2026 – National Conclave on Endogenous Sustainable Development is underway at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (25–26 April 2026), focusing on self-reliant and sustainable rural prosperity.

The conclave is organise by Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Vibha Vani, CSIR-NIScPR, Vijnana Bharati, CRDT IIT Delhi, and the National Innovation Foundation, the event highlights indigenous knowledge and innovation-led transformation.

With 300+ delegates from across India, the conclave brings together leaders, policymakers, scientists, and grassroots innovators to drive inclusive rural development.

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and The Women’s Collective Forum signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under SPARK@WCF – The 100K Collective, marking a significant step towards deepening community engagement and institutional collaboration.

The exchange was marked by the presence of key dignitaries including Ms. Smriti Zubin Irani, Chairperson, Alliance for Global Good, Gender Equity & Equality & Advisor to WCF; Prof Virendra Kumar Vijay, Professor, IIT Delhi & National Coordinator, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan; Ms. Richa Sharma, Chief Community Officer, WCF; Ms. Manavee Ajit Singh, Senior Scientist, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and Prof. P. K. Singh, Consultant, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.

This partnership is focused on advancing women-led enterprises and community-based entrepreneurship by leveraging academic institutions and rural innovation networks. Through joint efforts in capacity-building, knowledge exchange, and ecosystem support, the collaboration aims to create sustainable pathways for women to participate and lead in local economies.

Together, this initiative reinforces a shared vision of inclusive growth bridging grassroots action with structured support systems to unlock opportunities for women entrepreneurs across diverse communities.
