GDC Budhal Organises Signature Campaign against Drug Abuse.

Anti Drugs Committee of GDC Budhal in collaboration with NSS unit of the college, conducted a massive Signature Campaign against drug abuse on 17th of Aug 2026.The event was held under the able guidance of Prof Mohd Farooq Mirza, Principal of the college. The campaign aimed to sensitize the students about the harmful effects of substance use. The event witnessed a strong participation from students and faculty and it reflected a strong commitment towards building a drug-free society and empowering youth to adopt a healthy and responsible life.

Govt Degree College Budhal celebrated 80th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm under the patronage of Prof. Mohd Farooq Mirza, Principal of the college, The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the Tricolour, accompanied by the simultaneous singing of the National Anthem. The NCC Cadets presented an impressive march past, adding dignity and patriotic spirit to the occasion.
The programme was followed by a felicitation ceremony, wherein NCC Cadets who qualified the B Certificate, NSS students who secured positions in various activities and students who secured positions in various competitions organised by Red Ribbon Club were felicitated.
The celebrations concluded on a joyful and patriotic note, with worthy Principal of the college appreciating the achievements and active participation of the students and staff.

As part of the Independence Day Celebrations 2026, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College Budhal organized a Har Ghar Tiranga Rally and Vande Mataram Singing Programme on 14-08-2026 under the able guidance of Prof. Mohd Farooq Mirza, Principal.

The rally was organized to promote the spirit of patriotism, national unity, and respect for the National Flag among students. The participating students carried the Tricolour and raised patriotic slogans during the rally.
