School of Management(SoM) (erstwhile SBPPSE) was established at Dr. B.R. R.

Ambedkar University Delhi to promote research and provide professional education and training in the field of Management.. Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) is a public University, established by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi in 2008. Mandated to focus on research and teaching in the Social Sciences and Humanities and guided by Dr B. Ambedkar’s vision of bridging equality and social justice with excellence, AUD considers it to be its mission to create sustainable and effective linkages between access to and success in higher education

AUD is one among a few universities in India to cater exclusively to research and higher learning in Humanities and Social Sciences. AUD has carved a niche for itself by reinventing the perception of social science education, particularly by focussing on application based content. This is reflected both in its design of new programmes as well as their interdisciplinary engagement with other fields yielding exciting possibilities. The School of Management, SoM (erstwhile School of Business, Public Policy and Social Entrepreneurship (SBPPSE)) was set up in AUD in 2011 to impart education and promote research in the field of Business Management, Public Policy and Social Entrepreneurship. The School offers five programmes - flagship MBA Programme, MBA-IEV Programme, BBA Programme, BBA-IEV Programme and Doctoral Programme in Management. SoM is committed to its vision to provide quality education through its cutting edge programmes and to develop business professionals who address the concerns of different stakeholders including society, the economy, the environment and investors through their varied roles in the industry.

Dr. Rashmi Anand organized a two-day hands-on workshop, “Mastering Tableau: From Data Preparation to Advanced Analytics" for MBA II-year students on September 22–23, 2026. The workshop provided students with practical exposure to data visualization, data preparation, analytics, and interactive dashboard development.

The workshop sessions were conducted by Dr. Neha Tyagi, Deputy Manager, Deloitte, whose industry expertise and practical insights provided students with a deeper understanding of Tableau and its applications in business analytics. Through hands-on demonstrations, real-world examples, and interactive learning, she helped students develop practical skills in data visualization and transform data into meaningful, actionable insights.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation and was highly appreciated for its hands-on approach and industry relevance.

The School of Management, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi, successfully organised an insightful guest lecture on:
“Leadership in Public Service: Applying Management Principles for Effective Governance”
The session was delivered by Major General Bishamber Dayal, Professor of Practice, who shared valuable insights from his extensive experience on leadership, governance, decision-making, public service and the practical application of management principles.
The interactive session provided BBA I Year students with an opportunity to connect classroom concepts with real-world leadership and governance practices.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Programme Coordinator, BBA, School of Management, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi, conducted an interactive session on the BBA Programme for Commerce teachers from DAV Schools across Delhi-NCR during the One-Day Training Programme on “Vocationalising Commerce Education: From Classroom Learning to Career Readiness” organised by the School of Vocational Studies on 18 September, 2026.

The session highlighted the academic structure, experiential learning opportunities, industry relevance, and career pathways offered through the BBA Programme. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on the role of management education in preparing students for higher education, entrepreneurship, and the evolving world of work.

The interaction provided an excellent platform for strengthening connections between school and higher education ecosystems and exploring future opportunities for student growth and development.

🏬 Experiential Learning Beyond the Classroom!

On 9 September 2026, the MBA Second Year students visited Unity One Elegante Mall, NSP, Pitampura, as part of their Service Marketing experiential learning activity.

Accompanied by Dr. Pallavi and Dr. Rashmi Anand, the students explored the real-world application of key Service Marketing concepts, including:

✨ Customer-centric design and engagement
✨ Branding and retail strategy
✨ Value proposition and customer value
✨ Sustainability practices in retail

Learning Supply Chain Management Beyond the Classroom!
MBA II-year students visited the Mother Dairy Milk Plant, Delhi, as part of the Supply Chain Management course. The visit offered a real-world glimpse into the operations of Asia’s largest liquid milk plant, covering milk procurement, processing, quality, cold-chain, packaging, and distribution.
From milk and dairy products to ice cream, Safal and Dhara, students gained insights into how an integrated supply chain connects farmers, production, and consumers while creating value at every stage.

The Orientation Programme for the MBA and MBA (IEVD) Batch of 2026–28 at the School of Management, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi, was organised on August 12, 2026, and commenced on an inspiring and energetic note.

The programme began with a warm welcome and an engaging introductory session. The Dean and faculty members of the School interacted with the students, offering encouragement and providing an overview of the programme structure, curriculum, and learning opportunities.

This was followed by an insightful talk on “Leadership in the Age of AI and Digital Transformation” delivered by Mr. Devangshu Dutta, Founder and CEO, Third Eyesight. His perspectives offered students valuable insights into the evolving nature of leadership and the growing impact of artificial intelligence and digital transformation on the business and management landscape.

The programme was further enriched with engaging ice-breaking activities conducted by Dr. Rashmi Anand and Dr Pallavi, fostering interaction, collaboration, and camaraderie among the students and setting a positive tone for their academic journey ahead.
