The Pursuit of Happyness is a 2006 American film starring Will Smith as Chris Gardner, his son Jaden Smith as Christopher. Their chemistry flourished along with the very wonderful plot of the movie. This movie is based on a true story, and traces the fleeting ups and frightening downs of Chris Gardner.
The movie portrays the emotions,sacrifices, dreams, pressure and love of an ordinary man who is taking care of his son and wife. Here, Linda is a wife who loses the hope and trust on her husband, Chris. She left him and go to New York for a job, because of their family situation. But Chris didn't agree to take Christopher with her. The faith he had in himself and his son had in him made him was worth the wait.
'The pursuit of happyness' gives us a clear cut picture of a man who dared to make a difference and at last the difference was delivered in the very best way indeed.
This movie is absolutely gonna play with your emotions. The title is apt and you will get to know the reason why there is 'Y' instead of 'I' in HAPPINESS, when you watch this movie.

Quentin Jerome Tarantino is a popular name in the filmmaking industry. His works are a source of amazement that have flourished as the industry grew and accepted pop culture more and more. He won many awards and gained popularity like no other.

Tarantino, at the age of 15, dropped out of school to pursue his dream of filmmaking; being a movie-buff, passion for the art of movie making took precedence before everything else in his life. He took several jobs to make a living and also worked towards his dream.

National Read A Book day, a perfect day to dive into the beautiful world that books offer. No matter whether it is fictional or based on true events, books are really an escape from our daily stressful life. Books aren’t only about beautiful tales but can also offer a new perspective on daily life.
On the account of National Read A Book day, The Literary Society of College of Vocational Studies is here to offer some books to develop your interest in reading with an aim to encourage reading as books are known to unfold the unknown vistas to enquiring minds. Here are some recommendations you should take into consideration:

The Alchemist- written by Paulo cohelo is about an Andalusian shepherd boy named Santiago who travels from his homeland in Spain to the Egyptian desert in pursuit of a treasure buried near the Pyramids. But something that starts out as a journey to find worldly goods turns into a discovery of the treasure found within. This work is renowned for its simplicity and dazzling display of deep wisdom.

Palace of illusion- written by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni takes you back in epic times of Mahabharat. The protagonist is Panchali, the wife of Pandava brothers, famously known as Draupadi. Geetanjali is the true epitome of what one calls beauty with brains. As a senior, she has always guided and inspired us with a pleasant smile on her face. Her sweetness and innocence are what make her different from everyone else. She is skilled in all fields of life; she has always fulfilled all of her responsibilities with perfection. She has been a dedicated leader and always worked towards the betterment of society through her knowledge and education. Her aura speaks for her nature more than anything else. Mudita, is an extrovert, that no introvert can dislike, for she creates this safe, comfortable aura around her and you can feel so much at ease. Each time one meets her, one can't help but notice her wonderful smile that can light any room. She is the most focused and practical person you'll meet, who is truly inspiring and self-sufficient. You can sit with her and get inspired by her at any given point in time. Her friends describe her as a 'Coconut' which is hard on the outside, nothing but soft and plain in the middle. She was a very dedicated and hardworking member of this society.
