On February 29th, we embarked on an enchanting journey through the captivating world of 'Parindey' at Ecdysis 24’ Fest with Biocenose, where the Zoological Society of KMC spread its wings, fostering a collective exploration of nature. 🦅

Beyond the natural realm, the fest featured a spirited debate competition. Esteemed teachers from the Zoology department adjudicated thought-provoking discussions among participants from diverse colleges. The topic of "Immortality: A Biological Perspective" ignited intellectual fervor, adding depth to the event.

Adding to the intellectual engagement, the fest unveiled the results of the Avian Lens photography competition, capturing avian beauty through diverse lenses. Simultaneously, the talents and insights of participants in the Winged Words writing competition were recognized.

Ecdysis Fest showcased a diverse array of styles, from Saari draping stalls to face painting, online gaming stalls, and the intriguing Whisper Challenge. These dynamic displays were orchestrated by the talented students of the Zoology department, creating a holistic celebration of nature and creativity. 🎨

In addition, the fest featured "कला खोज," a talent hunt program, adding an extra layer of artistic exploration to the event.

Notably, the fest marked the online publishing of the department's annual magazine, *Symbiosis: The Co-evolving Cohort Edition 2,* a culmination of insightful contributions reflecting the collaborative spirit of the department. 📖

Dr. Robin Suyesh, an eminent expert in amphibian conservation, led a captivating seminar at the Zoological Fest Ecdysis. The focal point of the seminar was the often-overlooked urban amphibians residing in the bustling landscape of Delhi-NCR. Dr. Suyesh delved into the unique challenges these lesser-known species face in their urban habitats, shedding light on the critical importance of conservation efforts to preserve their fragile ecosystems.The seminar commenced with a solemn lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the enlightenment and awareness that the seminar aimed to impart. The esteemed presence of the principal and the distinguished zoological faculty added gravitas to the occasion, emphasizing the significance of the topic at hand.

Throughout the seminar, Dr. Suyesh elucidated on the intricate interplay between urbanization, pollution, and habitat destruction, and their detrimental effects on the delicate amphibian populations. Drawing from extensive research and fieldwork, he provided insights into innovative conservation strategies tailored to the specific needs of these urban amphibians.
