The Ramjas Economics Society The Ramjas Economics Society is one of the oldest societies of the prestigious Ramjas College.

With a great and scholarly faculty, the economics society aims at engaging the students in various mind-boggling and growth-oriented manoeuvre like seminars by eminent personalities, Annual Winter Conference, The Economics Fest, Alumni Meets etc. The idea of SAESM (South Asian Economics Students’ Meet) was conceptualised under the roofs of The Ramjas College. The society also focuses on providing

Economic Research opportunities to the students, which is one of its kind in Delhi University. It has recently established its own internship cell to provide economics based internships to students. TRES hasn't left a single stone unturned, and the members with their continuous efforts aim, to take the society to greater heights.

GLOBAL TECH LAYOFFS: Correction or Crisis? 🤔

The tech sector is undergoing a massive shake-up, amplified by two major factors: the macroeconomic shock of interest rate hikes and a permanent structural shift driven by the exponential rise of Generative AI.

During the pandemic, firms overhired, and now, they’re pivoting to efficiency by cutting staff to fund massive AI adoption. This move has profound ripple effects, from a “pay reset” in the labor market to significant risk in Commercial Real Estate (CRE).

The path forward is clear: Upskilling is crucial. The demand is shifting toward high-skill, niche roles. AI Literacy is the new baseline.
