The Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC), in collaboration with the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (COL-CEMCA), successfully commenced Day 1 of the Two-day Pre-Research Workshop titled “Research Incubation and Advanced Training: Enhancing Academic Research in the Digital Era” at CEC, New Delhi. Following an initial session on Idea generation and Research Formulation, the Two- Day workshop proceeded into its formal inaugural stage, establishing a collaborative and innovative foundation for the Two days ahead. The Inaugural ceremeony began with the welcome addresses of Prof. Parikshat Singh Manhas, Director of CEC, New Delhi, alongside Dr. Basheerhamad Shadrach, Director of COL-CEMCA. The program officially commenced with a comprehensive overview and opening remarks delivered by Ms. Sanya Bhardwaj, Content Writer, CEC.
The following sessions progressed toward practical implementation, starting with an interactive Research Proposal Pitch Session led by Dr. Ch. Peidu, Academic Coordinator (Research) at CEC and Dr. Parvinder Kour, Project Manager, CEC, which allowed participants to present the research problems, objectives, methodologies and expected outcomes of their respective proposals. The presentations were followed by the deliberations on developing conceptual and theoretical frameworks.
The final segment of the day shifted toward Refining Research Methodologies (Qualitative), and choosing the right technique for Research. This session specifically addressed qualitative sampling techniques and the integration of artificial intelligence and quality assurance within Digital Education Research. This closing session, facilitated by Dr. Mohd Mamur Ali of Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, and Dr. Parvinder Kour, highlighted the role of research for open, inclusive and technology-enabled education, hence concluding a highly productive opening day dedicated to advancing higher education research standards.
