The department of HPKV Business School organised an Extempore Competition in association with ‘Akashvani’ under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The event reflected Akashvani’s enduring legacy of “informing, inspiring and connecting India” and encouraged students to “speak, express and inspire” through the power of words.

Students participated in the extempore competition enthusiastically, delivering impromptu speeches on topics such as digital media, the evolving role of radio, climate change, women empowerment, and cultural identity.
Akhil Mehta (MBA) secured first position, Anshul Sharma (MBA) second, and Shivangi Dhiman (MBA) stood third.
All three winners have been invited by Akashvani for an interaction with their broadcasting team and to record a program on youth outreach.
The event was graced by distinguished guests from Akashvani Dharamshala, including Mr. Jatinder Pal Singh, Programme Head, Announcers Mrs. Pawan and Mr. Sanjeev. The event was coordinated by Dr Bhawana Bhardwaj and Dr Alka Lalhall.
The programme concluded successfully, echoing the spirit of Akashvani’s celebration: “Speak Today, Inspire Tomorrow.”
HoD, Prof. Dipanker Sharma, Dr Devesh Kumar, Dr Anil Kashyap and Dr Ruchi encouraged the students and congratulated the winners.

The Department of HPKV Business School organised a lecture titled "Academic and Research Progression in the Light of NEP 2020." Prof. Vinay Chauhan, the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Nand Kumar Patel Vishwavidyalaya (SNPV), Chattisgarh, talked about the National Education Policy 2020's transformative vision and how it could change the higher education and research landscape in India. He emphasised the importance of interdisciplinary, holistic research and urged scholars to break out of their traditional disciplinary silos to solve major societal issues.
He asserted that NEP 2020 has made education more flexible by including things like multiple entry-exit systems, academic Bank Credit, and curricula that focus on the learner. He said that these steps are very important for making education more accessible and equitable for everyone and encouraging people to keep learning throughout their lives. This makes Indian higher education more in line with global standards while still staying true to national priorities. He reiterated that "Research is not only the pursuit of knowledge, but the responsibility to create knowledge that serves society".
The lecture was attended by the Dean - SCMS, Head - HPKV Business School, Director IQAC, Director Placements, HPKVBS faculty, research scholars, and students.

हिमाचल प्रदेश केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय, धर्मशाला के एचपीकेवी बिजनेस स्कूल ने MBA छात्रों के समग्र विकास और मनोवैज्ञानिक स्वास्थ्य को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से "मानसिक स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण के लिए प्राणायाम तकनीक" विषय पर एक कार्यशाला का सफलतापूर्वक आयोजन किया। सत्र का संचालन आर्ट ऑफ लिविंग फाउंडेशन के सम्मानित विशेषज्ञ श्री राजेश कुमार (राज्य प्रमुख), श्री पुनीत कुमार (वरिष्ठ शिक्षक) और श्री हुकुम रघुवंशी (सोशल मीडिया समन्वयक) द्वारा किया गया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ हार्दिक स्वागत के साथ हुआ, जिसके बाद प्रोफेसर दीपांकर शर्मा और डॉ. अनिल कुमार कश्यप द्वारा विशिष्ट अतिथियों का अभिनंदन किया गया।

कार्यशाला के दौरान, विशेषज्ञों ने सुदर्शन क्रिया का संक्षिप्त परिचय दिया। विशेषज्ञों ने बताया कि सुदर्शन क्रिया के नियमित अभ्यास से तनाव कम होता है, मानसिक स्पष्टता बढ़ती है और समग्र स्वास्थ्य में सुधार होता है, जिससे यह शैक्षणिक और व्यक्तिगत दबावों से जूझ रहे छात्रों के लिए विशेष रूप से उपयोगी है।

कार्यशाला एक मूल्यवान और ज्ञानवर्धक अनुभव साबित हुई, जिसने छात्रों को तनाव प्रबंधन, मानसिक स्वास्थ्य में सुधार और जीवन की समग्र गुणवत्ता बढ़ाने के लिए व्यावहारिक उपकरण प्रदान किए। विभाग की डॉ. भावना भारद्वाज, डॉ. अलका ललहल और शोधकर्ता गुलाब कुमार ने कार्यक्रम में भाग लिया और अपना सहयोग दिया।
