The department of HPKV Business School organised an Extempore Competition in association with ‘Akashvani’ under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The event reflected Akashvani’s enduring legacy of “informing, inspiring and connecting India” and encouraged students to “speak, express and inspire” through the power of words.
Students participated in the extempore competition enthusiastically, delivering impromptu speeches on topics such as digital media, the evolving role of radio, climate change, women empowerment, and cultural identity.
Akhil Mehta (MBA) secured first position, Anshul Sharma (MBA) second, and Shivangi Dhiman (MBA) stood third.
All three winners have been invited by Akashvani for an interaction with their broadcasting team and to record a program on youth outreach.
The event was graced by distinguished guests from Akashvani Dharamshala, including Mr. Jatinder Pal Singh, Programme Head, Announcers Mrs. Pawan and Mr. Sanjeev. The event was coordinated by Dr Bhawana Bhardwaj and Dr Alka Lalhall.
The programme concluded successfully, echoing the spirit of Akashvani’s celebration: “Speak Today, Inspire Tomorrow.”
HoD, Prof. Dipanker Sharma, Dr Devesh Kumar, Dr Anil Kashyap and Dr Ruchi encouraged the students and congratulated the winners.
