Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo Translator Program Tibetan language and interpretation study program Its main aim is to provide qualified interpreters for Dharma centers worldwide.

The Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo Translator Program (LRZTP) is a 4-year interpretation program offered by the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT). The program consists of two years of study in Dharamsala, India, followed by two years of onsite training at a center as an apprentice interpreter under a Tibetan teacher. LRZTP1 started in McLeod Ganj, Dharamsala, in 1996, and si

nce then close to 30 students have successfully completed the four-year program. Students without the aim to become a Dharma translator/interpreter are welcome to join the first two years of the program for intensive Tibetan language and Dharma studies. LRZTP now offers a comprehensive online Tibetan language program as well as individual tutoring.

The new students of LRZTP 10 come from: Mexico, Austria, United States, Canada, Israel, Brazil, France, Poland, Russia, Belgium, India, United Kingdom, Spain and Switzerland. The program currently has eighteen students and two who attend the first eight weeks of the course. The new program was inaugurated on 17th October and classes began on 20th October.

2025 has been an eventful year for Lotsawa Rinchen Zangpo Translation Program.
