🎥 Featuring: Dr. Rahul Bisaralli, MBBS, MD, DNB (Rheumatology)
📌 Topic: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
💡 Health Fact of the Day:
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s own tissues. It is more common in women aged 15–45 years.
Common symptoms include:
• Fatigue
• Fever
• Joint pain
• Anemia
• Skin rashes & sun sensitivity
• Hair fall
• Unexplained weight loss
If untreated, it can affect vital organs like the kidneys and lungs.
Although commonly misunderstood, SLE is manageable with early diagnosis and proper treatment.
On World Lupus Awareness Day (May 10), let’s spread awareness, reduce stigma, and support early detection for better outcomes.
