Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration by Mother Teresa College of Nursing, Kumhari, Durg | 17–18 September 2026

Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated at Kumhari Campus from 17/09/2026 to 18/09/2026 by Mother Teresa College of Nursing, Kumhari, Durg, Chhattisgarh, with the participation of 180 students from all semesters along with faculty members and staff from all departments. The celebration aimed to promote devotion, cultural values, spirituality, unity and togetherness among students. The event was graced by Dr. Gayatri Jay Mishra, Campus Coordinator; Dr. Varnish Kumar, Principal, Mother Teresa College of Nursing; and Dr. Phibina Chilate, Vice Principal, along with staff members from Nursing, Pharmacy, Education, SRI School and Administration. The campus was beautifully decorated with rangoli, flowers and an eco-friendly idol of Lord Ganesha. The programme included Ganesh Aarti, devotional bhajans, dance performances, a skit and a speech on the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi, followed by distribution of Prasad. The celebration encouraged teamwork, confidence, cultural bonding and a spirit of togetherness, while creating a joyful, peaceful and devotional atmosphere throughout the campus.

🎓 Campus Placement Drive 2026–27 | MTCN Kumhari

Mother Teresa College of Nursing (MTCN), Kumhari Campus, successfully organized a Campus Placement Drive for its 8th Semester Pass-Out Nursing Students on 11 September 2026 at the Campus Seminar Hall.

The programme commenced with the gracious presence of Mr. Namah Shivay, GM – Administration, S.R. Hospital & Research Center ,who was warmly welcomed by Dr. Gayatri Jay Mishra, Campus Coordinator. The event was also graced by Dr. D. N. Rai (Principal, SRI School), Dr. S. Prakash Rao (Principal, SRI Pharmacy), Dr. Varnish Kumar (Principal, Mother Teresa College of Nursing), Dr. Phibina Chilate (Vice Principal), Mrs. Sonam Sahu (Placement Coordinator), and Ms. Tanuja Chaudhary (Co-Coordinator).

The recruitment team from S.R. Hospital and Research Centre conducted a Pre-Placement Session, introducing students to career opportunities, job roles, organizational expectations and the professional work environment. This was followed by personal interviews and document verification.
Students participated actively in the placement drive with enthusiasm and confidence. The process provided them with valuable exposure to professional recruitment procedures and helped them understand the expectations of healthcare organizations.

The initiative contributed to enhancing students’ career readiness, interview skills, confidence and awareness of hospital-based employment opportunities, reflecting the institution’s commitment to student employability, career development and industry–institution interaction.

🌸 Teacher’s Day Celebration at Mother Teresa College of Nursing, Kumhari🌸

Mother Teresa College of Nursing, Kumhari, celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm and gratitude at the Campus Seminar Hall. The programme commenced at 10:00 AM with the ceremonial lamp lighting and a floral tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose life and contributions continue to inspire generations of teachers and students.

The ceremony was graced by Mr. JayRaj Mishra, Campus Coordinator; Dr. Varnish Kumar, Principal, Mother Teresa College of Nursing; Mr. D. N. Rai, Principal, School; Dr. S. P. Rao, Principal, Pharmacy College; and Dr. Brijesh Pratap Yadav, Principal, Education College. Students expressed their heartfelt gratitude and respect towards their teachers through thoughtful speeches, thank-you cards, melodious songs, dance performances, and an engaging skit dedicated to their mentors.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by the faculty members, followed by the distribution of sweets. The event beautifully reflected the bond of respect, gratitude, and affection between teachers and students

🇮🇳 80वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह की भव्य झलकियाँ 🇮🇳

मदर टेरेसा कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग, कुम्हारी

मदर टेरेसा कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग, कुम्हारी में 80वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस का समारोह हर्षोल्लास, उमंग एवं देशभक्ति की भावना के साथ गरिमामय वातावरण में आयोजित किया गया। 🇮🇳✨

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि श्री जयराज मिश्रा एवं विशिष्ट अतिथि श्रीमती गायत्री जयराज मिश्रा रहे।

इस अवसर पर मदर टेरेसा कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग, कुम्हारी के प्राचार्य डॉ. वर्णिश कुमार की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति के साथ विद्यालय के प्राचार्य श्री डी. एन. राय, फार्मेसी प्राचार्य प्रो. डॉ. एस. प्रकाश राव एवं बी.एड. प्राचार्य श्री बृजेश यादव भी विशेष रूप से उपस्थित रहे।

कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ ध्वजारोहण एवं राष्ट्रगान के साथ हुआ। इसके पश्चात विद्यार्थियों द्वारा अतिथियों के सम्मान में मनमोहक स्वागत गीत एवं स्वागत नृत्य प्रस्तुत किया गया।

विद्यार्थियों की शानदार देशभक्ति समूह नृत्य प्रस्तुति ने पूरे वातावरण को राष्ट्रप्रेम से भर दिया। वहीं राष्ट्रीयता नृत्य के माध्यम से भारत की सांस्कृतिक विविधता, एकता एवं अखंडता की सुंदर झलक प्रस्तुत की गई। 🇮🇳❤️

मुख्य अतिथि कैंपस कोऑर्डिनेटर डॉ. गायत्री जय मिश्रा ने अपने प्रेरणादायक संबोधन में विद्यार्थियों को राष्ट्रप्रेम, अनुशासन, कर्तव्यनिष्ठा एवं समाज के प्रति अपने दायित्वों का जिम्मेदारीपूर्वक निर्वहन करने के लिए प्रेरित किया। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को देश की एकता, अखंडता एवं प्रगति में अपनी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाने का संदेश भी दिया।

Hareli Festival - Promoting Alternative Systems of Medicine and a Healthy, Drug-Free Lifestyle

As part of the outreach initiative, Hareli the first and one of the most significant agricultural festivals of Chhattisgarh, was celebrated with enthusiasm at Mother Teresa College. To mark the occasion, the college organised a special awareness class and celebration highlighting the traditional significance of Hareli and its connection with the Alternative System of Medicine, herbal healthcare, and a natural, healthy lifestyle.

The programme commenced at 11:00 AM in the College Seminar Hall in the gracious presence of Campus Coordinator Dr. Gayatri Jay Mishra, Dr. Varnish Kumar, Principal, Mother Teresa College of Nursing, Mr. D. N. Rai, Principal, School, faculty members, and students.

The programme began with an inspiring address by Mr. Mahesh Babu, Associate Professor, Medical-Surgical Department. He emphasiged the importance of celebrating Hareli Diwas and highlighted the relevance of traditional and alternative systems of medicine in promoting healthy living. He particularly focused on the benefits of herbal plants, natural healthcare practices, and a drug-free lifestyle. Students were encouraged to adopt healthy and natural practices and to remain away from substance abuse and addiction.

Following the awareness session, a plantation drive was organised on the campus. Faculty members and students actively participated in planting herbal and other useful saplings with great enthusiasm. The plantation activity symbolised the spirit of Hareli and reinforced the message of environmental protection, healthy living, and respect for nature.

The programme concluded with a pledge by the students and staff to nurture the planted saplings and contribute towards creating a greener and healthier environment. The celebration was successfully conducted with the active participation and dedicated efforts of the faculty members, students, and supporting staff.

" Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works."

Student of Bsc N 7th Semester present a Role play on myths vs benefit of breastfeeding. Student also give health education about position of baby during breastfeeding, benefit, good attachment and contraidication of breast feeding to antenatal mother at antenatal clinic at Dr bhimrao ambedkar memorial hosptal raipur. Student clear all the doubt of antenatal mothers and relatives related to breastfeeding.

गुरु पूर्णिमा के पावन अवसर पर मदर टेरेसा कॉलेज ऑफ़ नर्सिंग, कुम्हारी कैंपस में "प्रकृति हमारी सबसे पहली और महान गुरु है, जो बिना किसी शब्द के हमें जीवन के अनमोल पाठ सिखाती है" की भावना को आत्मसात करते हुए नर्सरी का उद्घाटन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य विद्यार्थियों में पर्यावरण संरक्षण, प्रकृति के प्रति संवेदनशीलता एवं सतत विकास के मूल्यों को विकसित करना था।

कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ मुख्य अतिथि श्री रावतपुरा सरकार ग्रुप ऑफ इंस्टीट्यूशन्स के CEO श्री विशाल गर्ग जी एवं ग्रुप डायरेक्टर श्री कमल प्रधान जी के पारंपरिक स्वागत के साथ हुआ। इस अवसर पर कैम्पस डायरेक्टर श्री जयराज मिश्रा, डॉ. गायत्री जय मिश्रा, श्री डी. एन. राय (प्राचार्य, विद्यालय), डॉ. वर्निश कुमार (प्राचार्य, मदर टेरेसा कॉलेज ऑफ नर्सिंग), डॉ. एस. पी. राव (प्राचार्य, फार्मेसी कॉलेज), डॉ. बृजेश प्रताप यादव (प्राचार्य, शिक्षा महाविद्यालय), समस्त शिक्षकगण, कर्मचारी एवं बी.एससी. नर्सिंग द्वितीय सेमेस्टर के विद्यार्थी उपस्थित रहे।

इस अवसर पर मुख्य अतिथि श्री विशाल गर्ग जी ने अपने प्रेरणादायी उद्बोधन में कहा कि "प्रकृति हमें एक माँ की तरह पालती है। जिस प्रकार एक माँ हमें जीवन, प्रेम और देखभाल प्रदान करती है, उसी प्रकार प्रकृति हमें शुद्ध वायु, जल, भोजन एवं औषधियाँ प्रदान करती है।" उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को पर्यावरण संरक्षण के प्रति जागरूक रहने एवं प्रकृति के प्रति अपनी जिम्मेदारी निभाने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

कैम्पस डायरेक्टर श्री जयराज मिश्रा ने कहा कि यह गार्डन नर्सिंग विद्यार्थियों के लिए एक जीवंत प्रयोगशाला के रूप में कार्य करेगा, जहाँ विद्यार्थी औषधीय पौधों, मानसिक स्वास्थ्य पर प्रकृति के सकारात्मक प्रभाव तथा पर्यावरण अनुकूल जीवनशैली के संबंध में व्यावहारिक ज्ञान प्राप्त कर सकेंगे। उन्होंने बताया कि यह पहल विद्यार्थियों में प्रकृति के प्रति सम्मान एवं संरक्षण की भावना को और अधिक मजबूत करेगी।

नर्सरी के उद्घाटन के पश्चात वृक्षारोपण अभियान का आयोजन किया गया। परिसर के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में औषधीय पौधे, फूलदार पौधे एवं फलदार वृक्ष लगाए गए। इन पौधों की देखभाल एवं संरक्षण का दायित्व विद्यार्थियों एवं गार्डनिंग टीम द्वारा निभाया जाएगा। इस अभियान में विद्यार्थियों, शिक्षकगण एवं कर्मचारियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक सहभागिता की तथा प्रकृति संरक्षण, पर्यावरण संवर्धन एवं हरित परिसर निर्माण का संकल्प लिया।

कार्यक्रम का सफल आयोजन संस्थान के संकाय सदस्यों, विद्यार्थियों एवं सहायक कर्मचारियों के सक्रिय सहयोग एवं समर्पण से संपन्न हुआ। यह पहल पर्यावरण संरक्षण एवं मूल्य आधारित शिक्षा की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण, प्रेरणादायी एवं अनुकरणीय कदम सिद्ध हुई।
