The State Level Science Quiz Competition for the academic session 2025–26 was organized under the aegis of the Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation and Technology. The competition aimed to promote scientific temperament, enhance knowledge, and encourage analytical thinking among college students.
The Zonal Level Science Quiz Competition for the Gurugram Zone was conducted on 17th February 2026 at Dronacharya Government College, Gurugram. In this competition, the team from K.L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad secured the 2nd position, thereby qualifying for the State Level Competition.
The following three students represented the college at the state level:
Mitali Yadav (B.Sc. Biotechnology – III Year)
Dimple Popli (B.Sc. Physical Science– II Year)
Priya Dayma (B.Sc. Life Sciences – IIl Year)
The State Level Science Quiz Competition was scheduled to be held on 15th April 2026 at 10:00 A.M. onwards at Dyal Singh College, Karnal.
The participation of these students reflects their dedication, subject knowledge, and enthusiasm towards science. Their achievement at the zonal level and qualification for the state level is a matter of pride for the institution. A one-day First Aid Training and Disaster Management Camp was successfully organized by the Youth Red Cross (YRC) of K.L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Haryana State Branch on 11th April 2026. The camp was conducted under the expert guidance of Mr. M.C. Dhiman, Master Trainer, who shared his vast knowledge and practical experience with the participants.

The program commenced with a warm welcome of the dignitaries, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing the spread of knowledge and positivity.
The event was conducted under the able leadership of the Principal, Dr. Meenu Dua. She appreciated the efforts of the organizers and emphasized the importance of first aid awareness and disaster preparedness among students.

The program was efficiently organized under the guidance of YRC Counsellors, Dr. Shveta Arya and Dr. Babita Sharma, whose dedication and efforts ensured the smooth ex*****on of the camp.

A total of 68 students actively participated in the camp, making it a lively and engaging learning experience.

The main objective of the camp was to create awareness among students about the importance of first aid and to equip them with essential skills to handle emergency situations effectively. The session began with an introduction highlighting the significance of timely medical assistance and disaster preparedness.

During the training session, Mr. Dhiman demonstrated various first aid techniques such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), wound dressing, fracture management, and the handling of burns and bleeding. Participants were also trained in basic life-saving skills and were encouraged to practice these techniques through hands-on activities, making the session highly interactive and engaging.

The disaster management segment focused on preparing individuals to respond effectively during natural and man-made disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and fires. The trainer emphasized the importance of staying calm, following safety protocols, and extending help to others during emergencies. Various precautionary measures and evacuation procedures were also explained in detail.

The camp proved to be highly informative and beneficial for all attendees. It not only enhanced their knowledge but also boosted their confidence in dealing with critical situations. The participants appreciated the efforts of the organizers and the resource person for conducting such a meaningful and practical session.

Madhuri Shukla, currently serving as a Library Assistant at K.L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women , Faridabad, represented the institution at the District Level Kickboxing Tournament held on 10th and 11th April 2026 at Mahabir Community Centre, NIT-2. She achieved remarkable success by securing one Gold Medal and one Silver Medal in the competition.

In addition, Riya, a final-year B.Com student , also secured a Gold Medal, thereby bringing further recognition and pride to the college.

During the tournament, both participants received valuable guidance and encouragement from Dr. Anand Mehta (President,MDES). They were also motivated by Principal Ma'am ,Dr. Meenu Dua.Furthermore, Ms. Sangeeta Adlakha, Head of the Sports Department, extended her support and encouragement by personally interacting with the participants and boosting their morale.

The Department of Commerce and Management of K.L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad, organized an inter-class competition titled “Blueprint to Business – Startup Vision Challenge” for BBA students on 13 April 2026 at 01:00 p.m. in the Seminar Hall.
The event was conducted under the guidance of the Institution’s Innovation Council and IQAC with the aim of encouraging entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and business acumen among students. Participants presented their startup ideas, business models, and innovative strategies, showcasing creativity and practical knowledge.
The event was organized under the patronage of Dr. Meenu Dua (Principal).
The competition was judged by Dr. Vandana Arora, who evaluated the participants on parameters such as originality, feasibility, presentation skills, and clarity of vision. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from BBA students across different years.

The IPR Cell of K. L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad organized a one day seminar on “Intellectual property and Compliance: Mastering MSME Registration, Copyright Protection, and GST Filing” on 13th April 2026. The resource person for the seminar was Ms. Renu Kathuria, CS at M/s Renu Kathuria & Associates and a certified POSH trainer. The Principal, Dr. Meenu Dua, the three conveners of the seminar, Ms. Leena Bhatia, Dr. Madhu Rathi, Dr. Purnima Verma along with Dr. Shveta Arya from the Department of Life Sciences welcomed Ms. Renu Kathuria with a sapling as a token of welcome and gratitude . Ms. Renu started with the very basics of IPR like Trademark, Copyright, Patents and Geographical Indications. She explained that students from all backgrounds like Science, Commerce and Humanities can become financially self-dependent after their graduation by preparing and appearing for examinations related to Intellectual Property Rights and get good jobs. She also provided hands on training for logging into online filing of trademarks portal and how to go further with it. The session was interactive as students responded to concepts asked with great interest. Around 100 students attended the session. The seminar ended with a formal vote of thanks to Ms. Renu Kathuria by Dr. Madhu Rathi who also motivated the students to start preparing for IPR related exams as soon as they enter in their final year of graduation and start free lancing at their comfort once they are able to crack these exams and start earning well. The Principal, Dr. Meenu Dua appreciated the efforts of the IPR Cell for holding this session and motivating the audience present.
